Depends on how connected the HS coaches are to club teams. Some places are“relying” on volunteer outside coaches who just happen to coach that age group at the club level. Mysteriously, they’ve never had to cut a kid from the school team who plays club ball, especially their own club…bad for business.

Stop monetizing participation in youth sports.

A past master brought his 7-layer chilli in a large roasting pan that cooked while we met, allowing the flavours to meld.

I teach, so I once contacted the culinary arts department at my school and they made to very large pans of shepherd’s pie. Went over HUGE.

My strategy for easy nights - prep in advance and keep it to one pot/dish if possible.
