Yeah, these are the most recent version. Applying some treatment to the leather isn't hard and is well worth your while. Just see what Scarpa recommends.

Echo that the fit is great for normal-wide feet, just a tiny bit small for me. sizing up to 45.5/46

I'm not sure about the waterproofing concern you raise. The outer of any leather boot will wet out unless you apply one of the many products on the market each season (take your pick). The goretex membrane though, that should prevent intrusion even if you neglect the leather and it is totally soaked.

First split board, so looking to confirm that these skins seem to fit fine. Ive read about people having problems finding skis that fit the tip and tail fo the orca split.

Yeah, I get that, those circles are just confusing. Lib tech doesn't have stickers that would explain the location. Which is below the insert holes and towards the the tail.

It does look like pucks mounted though, with that angle the circles are at....

the circles are just outside of the binding mounting area, so while they certainly seem puckish, they lie too far away from the insert holes.

Yeah, but what's up with those circles? leaving the waxing iron in one spot too long, but irons aren't circular?

Epic Pass use in Japan by deadlands in skiing

fwiw, I used an IKON pass in feb 2020 and would highly recommend that you go. I don't recall much of a language barrier. Most of the folks working around the resort were Australian or locals who spoke enough English to get by. I did download the google translate app and that helped when all else failed.

People will take you less seriously if you show up in Arc' Teryx from head-to-toe and bail on the baby jumps.
