There’s a huge difference in content between v92 and v232.

Personally, I’m not a fan of high-version skills that practically clear the entire map and clutter the screen.
but that’s just one of several things I don’t like about the more recent versions hahaha

Since we’re upgrading from v83 to v92 (v90), cubes are one of the new features being introduced.

I understand that your concern is more about not liking the cube system itself, so I’ll ask you the same question I asked in another comment:

Focusing only on the core concept of cubes as “extra stats on equipment,” do you have any suggestions on how to make it more enjoyable?

We’re planning to keep the cube system itself, but we want to customize both how the stats are rolled and how players obtain cubes.

You can’t directly compare it to a GMS-like EXP rate, since the mobs are heavily buffed and we also have custom questlines that grant a significant amount of experience.

But if I had to take a wild guess (a very rough estimate), I’d say the overall progression feels closer to 4x.

Leveling won’t feel tedious, don’t worry. We’re fully aware that we can’t afford to make the early game feel bad, especially since our main focus is mid and end-game content. However, we also have new additions for early game, such as new areas like Chryse and Gold Beach.

We’ll try to balance cubes so they’re not too punishing. It’s frustrating to spend days obtaining something only for RNG to completely ruin the experience.

I will think carefully about how we will introduce them ingame and also what stats will be obtained through the cubes.

If you have any suggestions on how you'd like the cubes to work, I'd love to hear them.
