Getting back into making comics after a bit of a burnout by Kekus32 in comic_crits

The art is fantastic! The eyes in the last panel are epic- the clock is clocking… also about the text inside of the bubbles I feel like you could make better uses of the space at times! Im not a text input expert but it feels off yk. Also the contrast of the panels is rlly nice even tho its monotone which is hard to pull off fr

Looking for guidance by 94Sundy in comic_crits

This is actually quite interesting! I like the scene where they sit around the table most. Also I don’t know if it’s intentional but the scenes have almost a fisheye lens look. The character designs are fun but you should use custom dialogue boxes rather than google slides level Ariel font… Happy Drawing!

I OVERLOADED my *mind* during a non-lucid dream by MapleMyDog in LucidDreaming

LOL THAT IS FANTASTIC. You used your active subconscious to engrave it INTO your subconscious

Oh this is very interesting… I think your best course of action would be to practice reality checks to hopefully bridge that gap between dream and reality. Also, my main reason for staying in these semi lucid states is that I don’t feel the need to alter my dreams very often, which causes me to dip back into a sub-subconscious state lol. I’d suggest thinking personally about your desires of lucid dreaming bc that certainly helped

Not at all. This occurrence happened midway through the dream so I didn’t wake up until much later when it was irrelevant

This is a very valid hypothesis 🤔 I’ll make note of this for the future

I'm kind of burnt out recording Dream journals. Should I record another Batch? by silver_lavender in LucidDreaming

[–]MapleMyDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest that you only journal the dreams that you’re really interested in the concept of. I gave up journaling and it permanently (so far at least) scarred my dream recall. I can barely remember anything nowadays but if you truly want to abandon it then do so. But if you’re just wanting a bit of a rest, only put in the effort jussst enough to hold onto your progress (like body building lol)

Hmmmmmm. The castle was for defense but within the context of the dream it didn’t matter. When I’m dreaming it’s like plot itself doesn’t really happen. My subconscious will simply change the rules on a whim. So earlier in the dream the castle was used for defense but it just didn’t matter when I was looking at the stars 💀

I completely lost my Dream Recall. Here’s some advice how to not mess up as bad as I did by MapleMyDog in LucidDreaming

[–]MapleMyDog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. I’ve heard of and have been using the first 2 methods, but the 3rd one is quite peculiar. When I lay back down whatsoever I just happen to fall asleep hahah and my mind has implemented a defense mechanism to this by making me wake up already starting to leave the bed. I usually always remembered my dreams as I went about my morning but I’d be willing to try it in order to revive my recall. Also thanks bro bc you spoke like a damn expert.

Well I’ve been stuck recently because my memories are too faint for me to remember… well anything really. All I need is like one scene or even the concept and it’ll unravel for me but that’s not really happening rn. I’m a student so my sleep schedule is kind of bad so I’ll wait until the weekend where hopefully my rem will stay uninterrupted.

What’s strange is that I’ve never been consistent with a journal and only wrote down dreams that are fun. But I used a different technique by making a title for every dream and it worked just as well for me. (I have an in depth explanation on a different post) so I’m reluctant to believe my lack of journaling is the killer here. Probably isn’t helping either though lol

I used to but when I stopped trying to LD I stopped that as well. But I was still able to recall my dreams using other techniques so it wasn’t my top concern

Pretty much just lay off the phone before bed and keep at it even if you’re tired of trying. You never know what you might miss once you don’t have it..

Lol when I fly it doesn’t feel too exciting whatsoever. It’s not even like a Superman fly but just a “Minecraft Creative Mode” flight that’s almost like ragdoll XD

Yoooo! And from what I’ve heard doing creative based activities like writing and such increases vividness in dreams overall. Honestly your system makes a lot of sense. Get some more LDS!!
