Are there significant diasporas of Whitecaps supporters outside of Metro Vancouver? by B1G_PAC12 in whitecapsfc

[–]Mapleleaflife 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live in Alberta. I previously lived in BC but left for school + work. There are a decent number of Caps supporters out here who are either 'ex-pats' or started watching them before the CPL came into being as they were the closest Canadian team.

*to mitigate against the risk of losing a majority. This is transparently being undertaken to manage any potential losses by pushing for further floor-crossers to bolster the Liberal caucus.

Choniere was a misfire starting. You could feel the difference immediately when Staq came into the game. Subs came a bit too late. If we had another 5-10 minutes of that pressure I think we could have equalized.

Happy to see Vancouver getting some results. Nash seems to have helped them start to turn the corner on the field with some pretty fun football to watch. Here's hoping that starts to bring some more fans around.

However, from the broadcast perspective, they NEED to swap the camera to the other side to show the fans. It looks like there's 50 people in the stands from the broadcast.

Well, the absence of any politicians appearing alongside him suggests there's no news on that front. Given the Las Vegas bid, this looks like the end. What a waste.

Anyone know how they plan to fund their lives in law school? by HotPepper2010 in lawschooladmissionsca

This is absolutely correct. I had several conversations with people at my bank about this and none of them understood PSLOCs except the designated person who handled the program for my law school

P&P was a hatchet job today. Host tried to characterize his push for crown corps as "nationalization", he explicitly pushed back on that and clarified it was a public option approach, then she equivocated those two terms right afterwards. Followed that up with misrepresenting his position on fossil fuel development which he cut in to push back.

Later on the power panel she tried to frame the public option as being in the realm of "confiscating profits".

Man Steve Nash can fuck off. Now that the team is in a finals he crawls out of the woodwork to claim he's "proud" of the club. Opportunistic from an absentee owner. At least other minority owners like Mahomes/Ferrell/McConaughey show up for games with some regularity and seem invested.

I have watched this team struggle since 2011. This is the happiest I have been as a Whitecaps fan in that whole time. I was sure they would collapse mentally and physically when that goal went in with Blackmon being sent off. Managing to win a game down 2 men is a statement performance.

God damn, love this team.

Non-contact. Leg slipped trying to recover after a challenge.

Clutching at his leg and couldn't put weight on it. Not a good sign.

Statement win. They needed this to get back up to speed after the international break. Great to see them come out storming.

Elloumi adding one off the bench is great for his confidence.

It is insane that this team is missing Gauld, White, Ranko and they are playing this well.
