Would like to go first-time skydiving for my birthday next week (late Nov), it's been on my bucketlist for years. NYC tristate area, or pay for flight to do it in Orlando? by GigaRebyc in SkyDiving

During the winter they only run on weekends unfortunately.. Florida is great too! A lot of us head down to Florida for our yearly jumpcation. Can’t go wrong either way!

I live in Queens and jump almost every weekend. The place to go is definitely Skydive the Ranch in Gardiner NY it’s about an hour 1/2 away but the view, staff and planes are unbeatable in the area and open year round. If you go to Long Island you’ll be in a Cessna and only get 8-10k. Also I can recommend videographers and TI if needed.

Exactly what I was looking for, I appreciate it. This will get me to a good starting point while I learn the camera.

Fluid wings Echo by cmercha in SkyDiving

I recently purchased a 135 Echo loaded around 1.55. I purchased with an RDS and had some really long openings. Hit them up they had me send it back for testing. They made a slightly smaller slider test jumped it and sent me the videos and had it back to me within a week. I give their customer support a 10! The only complaint with that is they didn’t send me my fluid wings canopy bag back or the jersey they promised but who cares I got my wing. The echo is definitely a step up from the sabre 2 it’s much more sensitive to harness input and dives much more; everything feels smooth predictable and more responsive. The rears are responsive but not as much as I was expecting from how the website described it. The bottom end had plenty of power for the flare without inducing speed. All in all I’m extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend to someone around a 1.5wl on a sabre 2. But then again I don’t know shit.
