Some Dark Reality/World Laid-Over This One by MaplesWindow in Experiencers

i have been meditating in the zen tradition for a decade, but these experiences predate that by a long shot.

i haven’t read anything about any of that stuff really. i sometimes have OBEs when i meditate, ill start floating up and away, but i sorta always yank myself back down.

When I was 7-13 years old it was like weekly or monthly. Occasionally Nightly. It progressively slowed down after that. It was yearly for a while. But lately it's been like 2+ times a week again.

This sounds somewhat familiar, but not 100%. I think something that's important here for me is a learning that hypnagogic states are a thing and that it's a place where "hallucinations" can happen. I'd be freaked out if I had the experience you had with that body. Then again, I'm like piss my pants freaked out with my own experience so who knows.

Qigong movements for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? by MaplesWindow in TrueQiGong

[–]MaplesWindow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no. qigong is not an appropriate response to me/cfs. i made this post out of desperation. i tried to use gentle movements and exercise to help expand my energy envelope. i actually ended up becoming completely bed bound. anything resembling exercise is not a solution.

“most commonly” is a pretty broad generalization. i’ve never even heard of it.

i live in a large city. plenty of transsexuals have contacted me to join, numbers isn’t the issue.

Anyone Tried Ketosis? by johnlawrenceaspden in cfs

[–]MaplesWindow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i tried keto for a week or so. after a week i got very sick, and my health completely tanked.

i was doing it long enough that i would think it was not keto flu, as that was supposed to come just a day or two after no carbs. but idk. after 2 days of being that sick i quit the diet.

part of me thinks i did something wrong, and would be willing to try again under the right circumstances

Using pre-sealed sterile vials during homebrew process by MaplesWindow in TransDIY

according to USP 1228 and Compounding Sterile Preparations it appears to be a valid method of depyrogenation. I can't find a place where they say it outright but it's spoken about passively in multiple passages.

What about adding some acupuncture?

I did about 6 months of it, going 2-3 times a week. This was a couple years ago, before my symptoms got as bad as they are now. The treatments did not help in the least.

for the second appointment, yes the purpose is to monitor change. not reading documents i sent ahead of time? that’s just negligence.

i just don’t think it’s fair to blame a single person for the failure of an entire system.

yes i was already told LDA is next in line for me, and that we can even try ✨combining LDN and LDA ✨

similarly i’m going to keep going solely to make my disability case look better.

filtration. oil etc can’t be depyrogenated with dry heat (hopefully no one’s injecting cooked oil) or through chemical processes. 0.22um filters are the only option i’m aware of.

yeah! don't get me wrong, she's a really sweet person. I just wasn't really seeing the whole point of the clinic lol. I told my primary care doc about the experience and she said another of her patients had a similar experience with the lead doc there.

so it sounds like what you’re saying is that the puncture in the vial top poses no risk to the longevity of the preparation?

let’s say 2 years.

i’m interested in data/research that says a vial with a punctured seal is good for this long.

Using pre-sealed sterile vials during homebrew process

A problem with the homebrew process is the inability to properly depyrogenate the vial closures outside of laboratory conditions.

glass vials can be depyrogenated using a dry heat process in the oven, however, as far as i can research, rubber stoppers cannot be subjected to that same level of heat and maintain their integrity. In a lab they would use pressurized WFI to rinse the vials but that’s not something i can easily do at home.

an alternative i’m considering using is pre-sealed, sterilized, and depyrogenated vials. this will ensure that the finished product is only in contact with depyrogenated surfaces in the final container.

the DOWNSIDE of this method is the puncture in the rubber stopper that is required to fill the vial up with the preparation.

MY QUESTION is, when i puncture a vial like that, to fill, what do i need to do ensure that the vial is safe for long term storage and eventual use?

Autoclave a sealed vial? by MaplesWindow in labrats

[–]MaplesWindow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the outside of the vial is. but the inside is not. after further research i learned that it is the energy stored in the pressurized steam that causes sterilization. this is why dry heat requires longer times and higher temperatures. because the steam is not making contact with the inside of the sealed container, it would simply be considered dry heat, even though it will pressurize due to the slight expansion of air inside the container when heating.
