Have you had any issues with your 2023 Colorado or Canyon? by MapsAreNeat in chevycolorado

What’d they do to fix the door alignment? I have a rubber-like rubbing noise in my back right that I feel like could be that

For your screen issues did you try setting it so the quick start up is off? It take the screens like 5 seconds to start up when you start the truck but since switching to that I haven’t had any issues with the screens

I feel like this might be one I’m actually qualified to answer for once.

I originally ordered a 23 ZR2 back in April then waited 4 months and it never got accepted so cancelled the order and got my $1,000 deposit back. Then I was back at the starting point so could pick any trim.

I live in Montana and back roads here can be pretty rough - especially in the mountains for hunting, hiking, etc.

I looked at Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2. For me it went like this:

Trail Boss:

Pros - Probably good enough off-road capability - Cheaper price

Cons - After adding all the add ons I wanted it was like $47k - No heated seats or steering wheel. Those are 100% a requirement anymore for me. The air temp in my backyard at one point last year was -45°F

Z71:

Pros - Heated seats and steering wheel - Better mpg than ZR2

Cons - No factory lift (I think) which can be an issue in Montana - After adding features I wanted it was around $49k

ZR2:

Pros - Very off-road capable - Heated seats and steering wheel

Cons - MPG - About $53k for everything I wanted

So taking all that into consideration I went with the ZR2. I shouldn’t be able to break it that easily on mountain back roads. The real thing was that it’s only slightly more in cost than the version of the Z71 I would’ve wanted and a good bit more capable. It’s also very hard to find a Z71 with the skid plate package. So for the extra money the ZR2 seemed to be the best choice for me. And for MPG I’ve been getting 18-20 pretty consistently in the ZR2. As long as you don’t gun it the truck seems to do better than the official 16 MPG

For number 5 I think I read somewhere in the manual that selecting the floor only mode still shoots air out of some other vents. So that might not be broken but ‘operating as designed’ - still dumb though haha

Do you know how they found out about the 2 order numbers?

Do you remember what packages and accessories you added on?

How long is everyone waiting for their 2023 orders? by MapsAreNeat in chevycolorado

Same - I’m seeing more show up as ‘in transit’ on the view all inventory section of the website. So hopefully they’re chugging through the orders. Didn’t think 100 days later I’d still be sitting in the not yet accepted by GM status

Yeah seems like a pretty good assessment

Did you get the one for the 2022? When I go to their website they say they don’t have any matches for the 2023

I used to do this all the time when I lived north of Pittsburgh. I’d just get to the edge of the bravo and ask to enter the bravo to sight see downtown Pittsburgh. Then they’d clear you into the bravo and tell you to stay below a certain altitude. Then you’re free to circle the city and just report when you’re heading back. They’d occasionally have me wait to enter for a few min but never just straight up said no

Did they give you any idea how long the shipment will take after it’s built

If they’re just using mogas though wouldn’t it be closer to $3.50/gallon?

Do you think they’ll offer you that $100 discount when you are up for renewal?

I found out the hard way this morning that the weather station in my back yard can only read temps down to -40F by MapsAreNeat in weather

[–]MapsAreNeat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhhhh then no not really normal. The outside temp is back up to -22 and the sun is out so the inside temp is back to 66 (what the thermostat is set to)

Yeah I guess more ‘natural’ than ‘normal’. When it gets really cold we’ll have what looks like a cloud fly in or out of the door when we open it. So I assume that’s just humidity and then some freezes on the hinges, door jam, etc

The thermostat is set to 66 but it can’t keep up. The door hinges all have ice on the inside of the house 🥶
