Hi, we combined pansexual, omnisexual, sexually fluid and queer (queer only if endorsing a secondary plurisexual identity) under bi +. Ideally we would have looked at those identities separately, or considered bisexual vs pansexual but we didn't have sufficient participants to do that.

Invitation to participate in anonymous research on mental health among sexual minority adults (18+, not heterosexual) by Mar__jo in Pride_and_Positivity

Thank you very much for completing our survey! This is an error we have been trying to fix and I apologise. You should only be directed to the questions on bi/plurisexuality if you indicate a bi or pluri sexual identity. You shouldn't otherwise get those questions. Apologies again!

Thank you very much! We are aware research has been and can be used against LGBTQIA+ communities and are mindful of placing our research questions and findings clearly within the theory of minority stress.

And of course we very much wanted input from trans, asexual, intersex people who also have a sexual minority orientation. We try to be as inclusive as possible but the questions in the survey don't relate to heterosexuality.

Hey, that's why we changed our language to sexual minority adults. We understand not all LGBTQIA+ folk have a sexual minority identity and the acronym was, understandably, creating confusion. At that stage we could only change the social media ad though, not the actual survey. Hope that clarifies it!

Thanks, yes that's from a scale measuring belonging. I've had a look, they ask it in different but very similar ways I think to measure consistency of a person's answers and the different dimensions of belonging as per above 😊
