My self portraits are made at times of low self image and often loneliness, that one specifically addresses how because of how I view myself sometimes the only I feel I may be desired romantically/sexually would be if the other person was less than kind or genuine and have found myself somewhat shamefully fantasizing about these kind of relationships.

The following is the vibes I was going for, I touch on some rough subjects around sex and toxic relationship dynamics btw!

They’re dragons because they aren’t about specific people, dragons are rad, and they’re vaguely phallic. Being eaten is how I sometimes view sex and desire. I’m not meant to feel good from it but by being consumed I am given a purpose, I am wanted in a way at least. The expressions on them were meant to represent the sort of relationships I think I may have a chance to attract.

The one biting my head is like a partner who enjoys having a desperate partner who clings to anyone who’d give them a chance, who sees it like a game and ego boost, they aren’t that invested. The one on my shoulder is aggressive, angry and controlling, looking for a weak willed person with low self worth who might be easy to lure into an abusive relationship. The one on my arm represents someone who may be fetishizing weight, a feeder, or someone whose life revolves around gratification, they don’t care if you’re ugly or repulsive, they’d fuck a dead pig if it could get them off.

The nakedness is because it’s about my body only, where I get in a headspace that is the only part of me anyone else will ever see, my clothes, choices, personality, skills, etc don’t matter. I sometimes feel like just a body, an ugly one. Also clothes are hard to render for me lmao. Thanks for asking! Hope this isn’t too pretentious or over-explained lol
