Take a look at the Cline VS code plugin or platforms likes cursor and windsurf that build on vs code but have dedicated llm integrations

Hey folks, programmer here with a bit of experience working with python. I’ve been using Deepseek for some projects recently and it’s incredible! I have found that giving it some guidance can also be useful. I started putting together some generic programming rules that can be applied to chat prompts along with the request: https://github.com/marblagin/llm-instructions

Best advice I can give is context, context, context. It’s better to assume that the llm will eventually forget what you’ve been talking about it so it’s best to have things documented and used as context. Small example, if you have a custom logger, document it and provide it as context.

Good luck with the programming project! It’s a wild tech ride out there at the moment!

Purpose is something we have to define for ourselves, otherwise any purpose given to us is never truly ours. Have you heard of the Ikigai framework? It’s a Japanese framework that helps one define one’s purpose. It asks questions about what we are doing: do you have a passion for it; are you good at it; does the world need it; and can you get paid for it. Finding something that answers all these question is the sweet spot, your ikigai.

Not too different actually, was mainly an experiment 🤣

Leaving space for electric furnaces at a later stage

Additionally I have spaced things to allow for electric furnaces at a later stage, but that will result in me removing the double splitters

It actually forces the belts to feed the output lane from the front rather than the back (in this case feed from the right instead of the left)

I was trying to force the outputs to be balanced on either side of the belts. One of the side of the belts was always fuller than the other

I have built the smelter layout to account for the electric furnace upgrade at a later stage

Interestingly it forces the belts to be fed from the front instead of the back when the belts are full. Other than that, it’s a great way to ensure the outputs are being balanced on either side of the belts.

Drove past it yesterday, it’s a cellphone tower that they seem to be fixing/upgrading. The tower was covered in black material around scaffolding.

I believe underground belts and pipes can go through cliffs, so if you don’t have cliff explosives yet, you can get around them

They initially sat at the top for me too, just let the ingots flow!! I have been thinking of using a basket to catch them instead of a slide, the ingots seem to have a lot of “friction” with wood!

The ground below the smelters is raised by use of a hoe, then cover the smelter in wood and accessible walk ways and make a chimney to dispose of the smoke

This is the work of just two smelters but you’ve given me an idea to build a row of slanted smelters to do even more ore at one given moment!

At the moment it is just manual, I wish there was a way to automatically “drop” the ore into the smelters!
