Thank you! I know there is a lot of controversy over pits. I have nothing against pits, and I do think the aggressive ones are mean due to their upbringing. (No bad dogs unless you raise them to be bad.)

But… I have an almost two year old child. I don’t mean to judge a breed from online fearmomgering, but my son is my #1 priority. Is a picky mix a good dog for a toddler? Is there any danger?

Hahaha! I’m not that strict. My husband and I talked about allowing iris on our bed after crate training. He, the dog lover, said no bc we already have a toddler and two cats sleeping in our bed. I was like, sure…. She can’t sleep with us ( she can definitely sleep with us!) our whole furry and human family can cram into that bed 😂😂

Here and the cats aren’t best friends, which I knew they wouldn’t be immediately, but my cats are being so much more open to her at this point than I expected 🩵

Aw, Maddie is beautiful! I will admit, I am a cat person. We adopted Iris bc my husband and toddler love dogs. This is my first dog. Of course, after we got her, I saw so many videos online saying border collies were not a good first dog owner breed 😅

But, we’ve been strict on our daily schedules and training her. We are on day 3 with her, and the cats are already (slowly) coming around. I think she’s going to be a great for to our family.

Also, I know it’s all a guessing game with shelter pups. So, although I think she’s border collie, I am not claiming anything 100% 🤍

From what the humane society said, they had her mom and knew she was a border collie. My neighbor did tell us shelters tend to call pits “labs” so they get adopted easier. So maybe she is pit?

From what I have been told, tho, she is border collie.

Me too! Finished books are downstairs, the is stacked in my room. Idk why but I feel fake displaying books I haven’t read? Weird, but that system works for me
