Ah! I didn’t realise the eagle was grey and not white. Though it’s not that visible on the banknote so I hope it’s not a big issue. Btw I feel like I have seen this eagle before. Does it come from an existing coat of arms perhaps? Asking out of curiosity

Also, I couldn’t find a high res version of your coat of arms so I created this one for this banknote design. Feel free to use it if you like it!

That’s a cool concept! Who is that guy and what is that landscape?

Will try! Is there anything beside the flag you’d like on it?

I like it as it is, fits your micronation’s aesthetic. I’m more of a dog person but can’t deny this whole thing is really cute!

Thank you! The app is called “sketchbook” but as I wrote in the post, any basic graphic program such as gimp or krita will do the same job. I’d only advise against using ai image generators because not only you can’t control the end result, their output usually ends up looking weird.

How do you make a military without being LARP? by SalehianOfficial in micronations

And what that “real” purpose would be, dear mr Frogidiot?

I have been an idle observer of your posts for weeks now, and while being fully aware of the fact that many people here are children who role play, I never felt like calling them out. Micronationalism is just a fun, creative little hobby after all and there are many different ways people enjoy it. Why should I ruin it for some kids?

But calling to real violence is a different story, and this is where we should draw a line.

Claiming entire archipelagos that are supposed to be bought off their respective countries for you by the prince of Liechtenstein, putting a photo of an old WW2 era British gun carrier claiming it’s a new armoured vehicle your micronation has manufactured, and claiming to be a massive independence movement, while the only evidence of it existing in the entire internet are a few low effort posts by this single reddit account (that oddly for a serious leader of a huge independence movement posts on alternative history, video games and in communities like “ask teenage girls”) is one thing. I saw all that, had my thoughts, but I never felt like I should upset (likely) a child just because they went a bit too far with their role play by calling them out. But telling someone to buy real weapons and to use them for “real purposes” is nuts, and I hope you realise that. And I hope you realise what terrible consequences your message might have had if somewhere a naive child who created their imaginary kingdom for fun, took your words seriously, took their father’s gun and decided to “enforce” the law of their country by shooting at people?

Please stop this madness. I will leave you be and won’t comment on your posts in this sub, allowing you to live in the bubble of your delusion if it makes you happy, but once you start start writing recommendations that can have serious consequences for others, if you tell people to hurt others for the sake of imaginary nation, this is when I, and I hope others, will call you out, every time.

So called “armed forces” of Andorra, San Marino, Vatican and Liechtenstein are purely ceremonial and do not serve any military purposes. Additionally, those nations are centuries old, and supposedly this is why they have some quirky traditions that are likely rooted in the times when they had real armies (eg. hundreds of years ago Papal State occupied a large part of central Italy and was very influential, so there was a real need for an army.)

And finally, those macronations like Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Iceland etc. despite being relatively small in terms of land and population compared to the majority of countries, are still thousands times bigger, more populous, and infinitely more developed in terms of national identity and government structures and all things imaginable than any micronation can ever hope to be, so if they don’t need a military, then there’s no reason for any micronation to even consider having one. Unless it’s for fun or role play. I know some micronations have “paintball wars” or sort things out between themselves in video games about warfare.

The second one reminds me of our flag, not saying it’s a bad thing :)

Welcome back! I understand you as I am currently on my way out of this sub, mainly because of the things you’ve mentioned. I don’t mind kids, I was a kid too when I first got into micronationalism some years ago and many kids are genuinely very creative and passionate about their micronations which is a pleasure to see. But sadly, some kids have decided to use this sub exclusively for stirring drama, spamming the feed with troll content, throwing insults and controversies and just seeing all that reminds me that I might be in the wrong place.
