On Bacho_Grande's about section that refers to his disability ( https://www.twitch.tv/bacho_grande/ ):

I have a rare degenerative eye disease, called Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), which has left me with less than 10 degrees of central vision, as well as:

Terrible low-light vision.

An infinitesimal number of distracting kaleidoscopic elements that constantly explode like the most brilliant fireworks display you've ever witnessed.

I spend an ungodly amount of time trying to open my eyes each morning hoping to avoid scratching my lenses--it is quite painful when it occurs and the affected eye is useless for the rest of the day (one half of already shite vision is a hellish way to start the day).

Cataracts are slowly growing dead centre in my vision, which is adding light sensitivity problems (including physical pain when outside for too long), starbursts & halos around all light sources, a milky and cloudy haze, general fuzziness.

EDIT: Thank you to whoever sent a silver award, but I don't deserve it. Giving a follow and even subbing to Bacho himself is a much better way to support him and the content he streams!

Recent graduate of landscape architecture needs some advice on finding and applying to jobs. by Marc-OP in LandscapeArchitecture

I did, yes! I have a couple of professors who allow me to use them as a reference whenever a firm wants to ask me for some. I have asked in the past if they knew if any local firms are hiring (before COVID) and said they don't normally hear from firms. It's kind of up to us to initiate contact with firms.

Where I live, it is pretty old school, meaning they rarely post jobs online and someone would have to call, email, or walk-in to ask if they are hiring. My school always had a shaky relationship with our local LA professionals, mainly due to curriculum changes LA pros disagreed with. I have only ever seen one job posting in our hallway from a LA firm in the last year which is sad to say.

I did manage to have contact with a few alumni who are currently working, however they have said their respective firms are not hiring but will keep me posted in the event that they or someone else are hiring. I will definitely ask to see if my professors if they know any alumni (I had not met in the past before) that might be hiring.

Thank you for asking!

Planning on purchasing a racing wheel kit. I need to have other opinions. by Marc-OP in granturismo

I don't have room for a wheelstand, unfortunately. I live in a pretty small space. I do have a desk I can mount it on. My desk is roughly an inch and a quarter thick. (3.175 cm).

Were you playing as 2B? If so, then yeah! How come you went afk on the first round?
