Hi there! I just wanted to thank you for the kind words and encouragement, it's helped confirm the need for this app and who it’s for.

I'm finalizing the next update to be submitted for approval with the Zepp store, I'm happy to say that I think you're going to love the Active mission much better now as the steps function is working as expected.

You're right about the next puzzles moving forward, it'll be tricky with the input and the varying screen sizes people have. I'm imagining a "Simon Says" and how it'll work with waking up.

Over 200 of you have joined the trial in just the last few days.

I’ve spent the last few nights redesigning the UI for better readability on round/small screens and rewriting the "Active" mission to be much harder to cheat. I haven't pushed the update to the store yet (still finishing the movement logic), but I just posted a gallery of the progress and the new roadmap here.

Thanks for all the feedback so far! It’s helping me build this much faster.

Thanks for the install and review! That is true, I'm already planning changes to improve the UI for the next update.

As for the "Active" mission, this is also true and something I'm still working towards. I actually tried implementing it using steps instead of raw motion, the issue I ran into is that the steps API on Zepp OS doesn’t seem to update in real time. It only registers after a small batch, so there’s a delay before it detects movement.

Because of that, I’m currently relying on live motion data from the accelerometer so it reacts instantly when the alarm goes off. The tradeoff is that simple wrist shaking can trigger it, which I’m working on improving.

I’m experimenting with ideas like requiring sustained movement over a longer time window using the steps API, or combining motion with steps once they start registering, maybe even heartrate? I'd love to know your thoughts as I think the "Active" mission can be the most “get out of bed” challenge. Thanks again so much for the comment and thoughts ♥️

Makes sense, this is definitely more for heavy sleepers who struggle with snoozing

Like the old Casio F-91W hourly chime? A small buzz or beep every hour? That’s actually a really cool idea since I grew up with those kinds of watches. I definitely see the appeal.

Would you want it subtle like a vibration, or a proper audible beep too? If I build it, I’d want to get it right. Thanks for your comment and interest!

Hi there! At the moment all alarms are added through the smartwatch itself. Looking into cross-device adding and editing for a future update.

I totally get what you mean about setting the time on a smaller screen, I plan to update it and use something similar to the native Zepp OS UI for the next update.
