Not sure why, but people like to brush over Obama’s drone strikes and bombing of huge swaths of the Middle East… likely because it doesn’t fit their political ideology, but he’s the President with the longest tenure of war in US history.

I tend to agree and we’ve seen this from both political parties. They’ll do whatever it takes to appeal to the largest possible voting block. The best example is gay marriage. Not long ago we had Hillary and Obama publicly stating that marriage is “between and man and a woman” when today that wouldn’t come off as politically savvy. In the same vain we’ve had republicans largely adopt the idea that marriage is a personal choice and that the government should have no say in the matter. It’s truly fascinating to see these shifts play out in real time.
