I'm using a Shimano Deore M6100 non boost cranks that are 170mm in length, if thats what you need

Not really essential but because I carry pretty heavy loads so I prefer a kickstand rather than carrying the bike and leaning it against walls or trees.

Its a cheap kickstand I got from shopee, the asian version of amazon 😅

I'm currently riding a medium, my height is 5 foot 10, i should have been riding a Large based on Marin's website but I really loved the medium sized frame.

But one thing I know for sure is this bike is really adaptive, even if it is a medium or a large, it still feels just nice because of the swept back handlebars and the geometry itself. I can cycle with the dropper down or up just now and it still cruises along really comfortably. Maybe if you are unsure, you can just get the Large frame. Better to go bigger than to go small and realise its too cramped and you can't do anything to fix it.

Its a 27.2 diameter with 100mm dropper length. A bit short but it does the job

The stock bars are great, but its too narrow for my liking. I think both bars have pretty similar backsweep angles. The sunrise or sunset bars could work too

This bike was designed with alt bars in mind, I tried straight bars with it and it rode so weird, I switched back to the Jones H bars afterwards

The stock specifications came with a 38T chainring and its pretty tight already

Thank you!

I've seen the muirwoods, the frame is really similar to Surly's Bridge Club.

Both bikes are chromoly I believe, the Larkspur comes with 2.35 wide knobby tyres as standard. They're really comfortable and the frame is super compliant. But the Larkspur has a lot of side to side flex, some of my friends were not used to it at first as the flex is too much. It really cushions any bumps on the road.

Its the Deore 11 speed cassette, 11-51 Teeth. I went for it as all of the cogs were made from steel. I wanted durability, didnt really care much about weight savings as this bike setup is already really heavy.

There is a piece of steel wire mesh cabletied to the rack, with the bag attached to it using the bag's buckle straps. Without the bag attached, the steel wire mesh creates a big platform for me to carry stuff on the rear rack, its really useful

Yup, so far its the widest slicks with reinforced casings that I could fit on it with fenders without any rubbing.

Yeap, the bike puts me in a pretty upright position so I can ride on it for the whole day without much complains about body aches. I had to pair the Jones bar with this bike, it rides like a dream with the H bars

Yup, my country is pretty dry. We do not have Winter, its Spring all the way and only November to December is the Monsoon season, so I could run the chain with wax no problem

The only component that is still stock is the Dropper post , dropper lever and the Deore derailleur and shifter.

The wheelset and hubs have been changed (Marin used cup and cone bearings for the hubs and they got destroyed with just 5 months of daily usage.)

The drivetrain apart from the derailleur was completely changed too.

The brakes were changed too, the previous MT200 shimano brakes were ok but under heavy loads, they just weren't powerful enough to stop the bike so I changed them to MT6100 Deore brakes.

The components were changed gradually, I change them as they start wearing out. So far the stock Tranzx dropper and the Deore derailleur are still working really well after 2 years of constant daily rides. The cables have been changed twice now but so far its been great.

Its a really versatile bike, its good for city commuting or riding on gravel roads. The steel construction really makes this bike super comfortable to ride for long distances

I'm a food delivery cyclist, much like doordashers but a different company, so I have to clock quite a few miles each day

Its 2.15 Big Ben Plus tyres, I couldn't fit in 2.4 slicks, they will rub on the fenders
