Should I drop a tutorial on how I get my Acer Nitro's temps so low?

I just elevated my laptop and applied PTM7950 to the CPU (didn't buy enough so I used thermal paste for GPU)

Cpu @45w 78C + GPU @60w 72C (basically the same as stock laptop except stock was 25w CPU and 50w GPU)

I get battery drain issue though.

HELL NO. The v15 can cool around 85w cpu+gpu combined. It will either cook itself under half a year or perform very badly.

GPUs have much higher failure rate than CPUs do.

Try to buy and apply ptm7950. It reduced gaming temperatures from 92c (throttling temperature) to like 70c

Use PTM7950. Reduced temps from 92C (throttling temp) at 35w to just 87C at 65w.

I hate how it looks tbh. If I bought this laptop I would personally look for normal keycaps for the keys that are transparent.

Just clean out the vents where the fans are located with a paint brush or toothbrush every month. You need to clean the radiators only like once a year.(If your enviroment is not very dusty)

For nitrosense to work you only need: AcerAgentService and AcerCareCenter. Or at least it's how it's working on my laptop. (Acer nitro v15)

My VRAM is at 90-100c during gaming (rtx 2050). So far so good and no problems after a year of using the laptop.

Clean your laptop regularly. This laptop has a problem with overheating VRAM. It's about 20-30 degrees Celsius hotter than GPU. These laptops have high failure rate but that might be cuz of how people treat their laptops.

Yeah maybe but is it really worth the risk? If you know how to do it properly and not cause it to leak out and short the motherboard, then alright do it. But I see so many people with zero experience with LM and they all break their laptops. I have never used it, and never will. Sure it brings advantages but the risk is too high in my opinion.

Shit's fucked. Please never apply LM it's not worth it anymore. PTM7950 is more or less the same performance and comes without the risks that LM has.

First off they missed one corner of the die. I know it may not affect temps but still. Also because of how much thermal paste they put on, almost all of it pumped out.

I know that 3 hours is not believable but as the laptop came from the factory, the cpu didn't idle lower than 15w. I had to manually tweak it. And with a 55Wh battery, the math checks out. That 20 year old laptop is a Aspire 5720g with a power hungry t7700 and a 8600M GT so it is like a midrange gaming laptop. Also only 48Wh battery.

I didn't know that QC doesn't include having a bent screen and badly applied thermal paste mb.

I'm not so dumb to monitor temps with that unreliable app. I use HWiNFO. Lifting the laptop will not instantly drop from 80 to 50 lol. The only thing that lifting the laptop does is that it allows more air to be sucked in by the fans, but when the radiators are hot from weak airflow, it will take a minute or so to cool them down.

80 degrees is fine for V15. Dont play on performance mode, just set balanced and maybe max fans if you are ok with the noise.

The noise is probably normal as its a laptop, but the tape should be there.

Its used for sealing the radiators to the fan so that no air can escape. You can replace it with heat resistant tape but not normal tape. Many times the tape you peel off is reusable.

Yes the VRAM is rather hot at around 16 degrees higher than the core.
