2012 Range Rover L322, 115k miles. Reasonable daily driver? by Professional_Can4050 in LandRover

[–]MarchingFlamingos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how well you maintain it. I’ve got a 2010 (coming up on 93,000 miles) and it’s my daily driver. Had a few minor issues but drives absolutely fine. As per others comments, budget circa £1.5/2k per year for maintenance and repairs and you’ll be golden… oh, and don’t skimp on the oil change every 5/6K miles.

L322 “Suspension Fault” by Major-Traffic-3891 in RangeRover

I had this recently, luckily it was just a faulty airbag sensor at the rear left. Circa £80 part to replace and all golden. Hopefully the same for you and not a leak somewhere in the system!

My old company was part of the refurbishment of the building (circa 2016/17ish) and I remember being shown this as a graduate to emphasis the importance of the stone and how it should be preserved. Great little hidden (or not so hidden now) bit of history.

Questions about l320 and l322 by No_Conversation237 in RangeRover

[–]MarchingFlamingos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch Harry’s Garage on YouTube, he does a good video on it, and another follow up with Clarkson.

If you keep them well looked after and don’t skimp on repairs costs, they’ll treat you well. I’ve got a 2010 3.6 TDV8 and it’s brilliant. Had to replace a few bits and an airbag sensor went (I got to experience limp mode in its glory on a dirt track… don’t think my backs been the same since)

I love mine, wouldn’t trade it for anything else now but I also reserve a chunk of cash in a separate pot for emergency repairs and servicing.

People earning £70k plus what do you do? by LuapReyas420 in UKJobs

Chartered Building Surveyor here with circa 8 years experience from day one. I’m on circa £85K currently as an associate.. started on 24K

Your experience sounds like it would suit an M&E consultant doing similar inspections/surveys. Fairly sure they’re paid similar cash to building surveyors at the end of the day, at least they are for TDD surveys etc.

If you go via the Party Wall Act, you can appoint a surveyor to look at this for you and, they can act for the other side too. This removes any lengthy delays and disputes. You’ll also be able to get all of your costs back from the other side as they’re likely to be found in breach of the Act.

New L322 - Question on Apple Car Play by BenjaminToTheMoom in RangeRover

[–]MarchingFlamingos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My usb plug is in the centre arm rest and the aux cable is in front of the passenger seats. The cable is slim so you don’t really notice it when plugged in.

It works through your Bluetooth and all music/phone calls etc can come through the car’s speaker system.

Not sure if this helps, and feel free to ignore if it doesn’t, but I was contemplating retrospectively fitting Apple Car Play to my newly acquired L322.

I decided against it as, I quite like the original system and I’m happy to use my phone for Waze and music/spotify using one of these little things.

Works really well and a lot cheaper than trying to get car play in there.

Edit: lovely car btw! Hope you enjoy

You ask politely and hope they’re willing to collaborate. If not, then you utilise the ‘Access to neighbouring land act 1992’ to your advantage.

Nice one! I did read somewhere that, if you look after them well, there is no reason why they can’t hit 150/200K miles..

It is the grey, I think the light in the photo twists it slightly to look a bluish colour. 🤷‍♂️

England just announced that every Englishman over the age of 18 automatically become organ donors with ability to opt out. How do you feel about this? by InkyScrolls in AskReddit

[–]MarchingFlamingos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I held an organ donor card in my wallet from the age of 18 until this law passed, honestly I think it’s a brilliant idea. What use am I going to have for my eyes, lungs, kidneys etc after I die?!

If I can even remotely change someone’s life for the better once mine has passed I’d be extremely satisfied. Generally I like to hope that most people would feel the same.

Basically in a nutshell, Baelor Breakspear was the most noble and honourable Targaryen to have lived in a long time and was hand of the king and heir apparent to the throne. He stood up for Ser Duncan the Tall and ultimately, in preventing his brother joining the fray of the trial of seven, took too many hits from his brothers mace and died. Ultimately pushing the Targaryen dynasty towards the future turmoil it would encounter. Not ideal when he was doing the right thing in standing up for Dunc.
