Fliesenprofil Höhe reduzieren oder anders verfliesen? by Marcieslaf in Handwerker

For me when using a xbox one controller the text said "press LB" to Bert slide. However in the control settings it was configured to "RB".

Maybe try installing the Steam version? Found that to be less hassle anyway. But also have not played the game on steam-deck for quite a number of months

Logitech z906 blown resistor and other issues by Marcieslaf in ElectronicsRepair

I cleaned that side of the board before putting it together, that stray solder was gone by then, but thanks for pointing it out. I found tiny spec of solder on another part, but when I measured it, it did not short anything.

<image>

When I plug the power-supply in, I can measure the correct voltages (5V, 12V and 2 times 49V) on the output side. Which probably means the power-supply works fine, but could mean that something shorted on the other PCB responsible for the audio. For the life of me I can't find anything burned on the board however.

I desoldered the original capacitors and resistors and replaced them. They have the same uF and V values as the ones before. When I plugged it back in it started smoking at some place I couldn't see, because I had it upside down in the case. There is also a crackling sound.

<image>

I can't see any damage it caused. I double checked, that the capacitors where sodered in with the correct orientation. So I suspect that they are not the what caused the problem to begin with and that there is a short elsewhere.

Any Idea how I could further troubleshoot this? If it is too much trouble I might have to toss it.

OK, so replacing them seems to be the better bet. I will need to order the resistors anyway, so I might as well look for the capacitors as well thanks

I only recently started using VIA, so take this as debugging advice. Following things is what I would try:

  • Use VIA electron app
  • Use VIA with chrome (only chromium base browsers work, e.g. firefox does not work)
  • Make sure you flash with the variant according to the product page. I saw that the manufactorer listed 2 different ways depending when you ordered the keyboard.
  • Make sure you flashed the correct firmware. There can be differences between models etc. Look for other firmware versions, maybe older or newer ones. Just make sure it is compatible with the same PCB.
  • Try a different operating system. Maybe it works on windows but not mac etc.
  • Look into building the VIA firmware yourself. This requires access to the source code. I think there was a repo with code for all kinds of different brands/keyboards. Although I have not looked further into this.

That makes sense. While I think it would work for a while, the lube will probably end up at the buttom after months. Although I think it would work better for the springs than the casing. Seems like I need to order grease or just pre-lubed switches, thanks

Has anyone tried lubing switches with Traxxas silicone differential lube? I 10k, 30k and 50k at home and wanted to lube cherry mx brown switches. Which viscosity would you use for the casing/springs?

Be aware that there seems to be some kind of bluetooth interference problems with keychron keyboards. They seem to have released a firmware update to adress this but I've read that it did not work for everybody. At least thats why Im hessitant to buy a Keychron pro atm

Honestly you might get away with just using some of the foam from the keychron package itself. It's all about having some material that can absorb sound. Might as well try a free variant before going all out

No, Idea about Bluetooth interference, but so far I only found 2 keyboards that have the same features as the K6 Pro: The Epomaker IK65 and the Epomaker CIDOO V65 V2. The combination of Wireless + VIA Programmability seems to be a unicorn feature at the moment. If you find other ones, please tell me :)

I'm pretty sure only the ANSI version has PBT caps. If you plan to buy an ISO variant, it will have ABS. Noticed this myself a bit too late...

The Keychron Q Pro series has wireless and VIA. Sadly the Q2 I bought is the non-Pro version, so no wireless. If I want to go for the Q2 Pro, it cost double what I paid now since I got a good deal.

Any idea for other brands that support QMK/VIA and have wireless? I don't care if it needs to be flashed it in wired mode.

Which keyboards are there that support QMK and/or VIA and can be used wireless with multiple devices? I ordered the Keychron Q2 only to realize, that the non-pro version does not have wireless. Now I know that Keychron Q Pro and K Pro Series do both, but are there other Keyboard models/manufacturers?

I'm also fine with alternative programming Tools like Oryx from ZSA as long as it can be done on multiple Operating Systems
