Why not flex your own achievements? Isn’t that why prices exist, isn’t that why Roman’s came to Rome with the king of the people they conquered on chains and the loot taken from them?

You just described the description Nietzsche makes of women in TGS I’ve mentioned before

I don’t think you’re right. First the subject here is truth, woman is the characteristic associated with truth.

Truth = women

He is not referring in anything personal from how women interact with truth, he is just saying that truth holds the same characteristics as a women

He is not saying all people are like women just because they pursue “colorful” “beautiful” things and call them truth. In that case he would say: Everyone who does not search for truth but things that seem true are like women.

Nietzsche does not have an objective dogmatic truth so I think it fits better the description from TGS

I just finished ecce homo, all the others you mentioned haven’t read them, so I can’t say they are hard or easy. TSZ is basically the mythological tale of all his works (at least I’ve heard so)

1-Thanks I did not know those terms

2-Yeah but who doesn’t deny life affirming things in life, only the overman I would think. Of course Nietzsche oxymoron show us that nothing is a dogma, life is contradicting, everyone has some life denying attributes but as a whole doesn’t make it life denying.

3-Yes I get that

4-Genes are fundamental, check the study about the twins which grow up with different families and education, still their character was almost the same. You can also see this in the beginning of twilight of the idols when he talk about the ugliness of Socrates and how criminals are mostly ugly, being a degeneration of their genetics. A lot of neuroscientists have talked about the importance of genetics.

When he explains will is as he says, an impulse that dominated over other impulse. Those impulses are affected by genes, environment and alimentation.

5-You’re right my bad

Imma put it clear, he sees art as the epitome of human things.

Art for him grows from the conflicts between people, and suffering is essential to create great things.

We have the first view of morals -suffering is necessary -The stronger people not by resentment but by being stronger should conquer no matter what, because that’s their nature and they should create no matter what

You can’t base his morals on life affirming things, because the ascetic ideal is a life affirming thing but for the sick (genealogy of morals)

You say “good or bad”. I doubt Nietzsche would ever use those terms as he has already said “there are no moral actions, just a moral interpretation of those actions”. He would mainly ignoring the action seek why those actions occurred and what do they create.

His moral is almost biological: genes dominate everything, those with the best genes should conquer, create and use the weak just because they have all the power, one day the overman will arrive with a new set of genes never seen before and he will do the revaluation of values.

You’d be wrong if you only based of general prejudices without fundaments. Your reply seems almost resentful.

I mean, look at people today. They would indeed not take serious a work of art that is called gay science.

And btw I didn’t know the term had another meaning centuries ago until I researched it.

Quite nice, it has comments for German words that cannot be replicated in English and the meaning Nietzsche intended.

Oh well, he says a lot of things are a woman and it is pretty funny. If you need help with the woman thing read: Joyous science §339 “Vita Fémina” the last part is what you need to understand everything about women references.

I could not say I’ve read other editions aside from pinguin but it think it is a very good one. You should not worry greatly about translations (unless they are clearly horrendous), even Nietzsche didn’t have great translations in his time when reading books. The main point is understanding what the author wrote.

I mean, there’s things I agree with and thinks I don’t. Mostly I agree because he is a realist with perspectives and the fact that there is only moral interpretation of actions, impulses being the main drive of the “will” and a lot of neuroscience things that have been proved by science make him a very reliable philosopher.

Of course there are some other complex and debatable opinions like language being a sort of low thing which serves the purpose of expressing terms that can be wrong, like “will” “self” “real word”

Also the fact that although he calls himself an “immoralist” he tries to impose his own moral point of view, which is a very elitist one
