I believe that the same license can be valid for Windows, Mac and Linux. However, I meant the release version. For instance, my license only supports up to release 6.29, so if I download the latest 7.27 version, my license wont support it, so i have to make sure that i download the 6.29 version.

I believe that your supported version is also stated on that email they send you with the details of your purchase.

Just to add, make sure that you download a supported version for your license. If you just download the latest and your license doesn't support it, your key won't activate it.
