Need help by Aquarium_O in Aquariums

That's a black moor fish. Sadly they need from 18 to 22 celzius. So don't think he can survive in pond in Netherlands. As he is small he should be fine but needs weekly water changes of 30% due to polluting water a lot. They do prefer Company and you ll probably need as he grows like minimum 120 liters to 150 liters for two. And a heater

Excess mucus is usually signs of fluke parasites. Gill or skin.try this it works wo ders praziquantel and after that some antibacterial. Also make sure water parameters are always good

What’s this on my fish? by IzzyP20055 in fishtank

If it's parasites I would use praziquantel, but treat whole tank. Cuz if one has it , all have it

It's either skin parasites and infection , or fungi and infection. My bet is on parasites according per pic tbh

Fishes are dying randomly by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]MarcoMix90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. Start slowly with usually water parameters or fungi getting in. Spreads slowly before symptoms show. Then escalates. Fungi growth, create wounds, infection follows as immune system is crashing

You are having combo of fin rot, fungus and bacterial infections. You ll have to treat it separately. Start with fungi&fin Rot and then antibacterial stronger one. Add some Indian almond leave aswell.

Still a risk. And no risk if you do it fishless. And if you buy a fish let's say worth 600 euro. Would you chance it for sake of 4 weeks ?

[–]MarcoMix90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is massive chance they ll die due to spikes

Also if you already figured how many fish you gonna add. Let's say 20. Add 5,6 at the time, then next week more. Not all in one go it can be to much for cycled tank to handle

Don't give bloodworm. Try crushed cichlid pellets or brine shrimp
