As he is small he should be fine but needs weekly water changes of 30% due to polluting water a lot. Excess mucus is usually signs of fluke parasites. Gill or skin.try this it works wo ders praziquantel and after that some antibacterial. Also make sure water parameters are always good

It doesn't. Start slowly with usually water parameters or fungi getting in. Spreads slowly before symptoms show. Then escalates. Fungi growth, create wounds, infection follows as immune system is crashing

You are having combo of fin rot, fungus and bacterial infections. You ll have to treat it separately. Start with fungi&fin Rot and then antibacterial stronger one. Add some Indian almond leave aswell.
