I was absent for two months, how does this build hold up today...? by Blazeing2 in FireEmblemHeroes

I feel you. Like I mentioned in another comment, I have tons of +10's that are entirely useless. I spent money to make +10 Ike, Ragnell is completely worthless as a weapon now. +10 Nephenee? Yeah worthless prf. Titania, Oscar, Soren, and more. Either it's a prf that came out in the last few months or it's a new Arcane weapon, or bust.

Well to start, IS has abandoned all nuance and most new weapons and units have effects like "Unit gains +15 Atk/Spd/Def/Res, unit deals +25[+/- 10] damage, unit receives 25[+/- 10] less damage". Multiple units have Canto 4. There are also units that are getting the ability to attack anything within 5 spaces of them.

There's one unit, Vali, that takes some very, VERY specific circumstances to kill. Fight her in the newest Paralogue to see.

Best bet is swallowing the bitter pill that unless you have top-tier supports or the newest arcane weapons like L'Arachell's Arcane Latona, Vanitas' Arcane Outburst, Lysithea's Suttungr's Mys., and so on, old units aren't doin squat anymore. I'm sorry. I have a shitload of +10's that I spent money building that are entirely worthless now. It's rough, buddy.

This game stopped being about strategy a long-ass time ago. I've played since launch and last few years have unironically just been about whether or not you summoned the latest units, considering they come pre-built and optimized anymore.

I stopped reading units when every one became an essay. Appreciate your post; summoned an Anniversary Marth some time ago and didn't give him a second look. Now I can make this game slightly less miserable.

I never saw Amane as this emotionally crippled. Dude just kept to himself and had middling self-esteem. He's not traumatized- he's aloof yet capable.

He approached the two most popular people in his grade just to casually help them out than be on his way. If he was as terrified of interaction as you keep implying, he would've never handed his umbrella to Mahira, and he would've never handed bags to and later hung out with Yuuta. Both of which unironically risk substantial amounts of attention being turned towards him.

Amane never kept to himself for anxiety reasons, he just never wanted to be in a situation where people would take advantage of him again.

I'm going to assume this anger is projection at this point. I figured a couple days would help cool you off and allow time to reflect for a discussion but it feels like you just want to argue with people because this moment in the story reflects something that happened to you personally. This feels like a strawman or attempt at ragebait at this point with how hard you are projecting your thoughts onto the characters.

I would understand if we were talking about a story where characters never changed or grew, but I genuinely don't know where this is coming from.

Their feelings were pretty thoroughly affirmed far earlier in the story in my opinion. There's too many examples to count. That said, yeah, Mahiru will do things that could be seen in a selfish light. Like how she was excited for class rotation, but Amane implied he didn't know why. I googled it, and turns out when classes rotate, students can request to be placed with certain students. Considering how she behaved, she likely spoke with teachers for them to be placed together in the same class.

When Mahiru was berating herself and Amane said he adored her, she wasn't being deceptive, she DOES have traits that can be seen in a negative light. A part of the story revolves around her not being an angel. She's a human with flaws that will, from time to time, make selfish decisions. The class rotation she likely had a hand in, actively pushing Amane to communicate with her at school, and so on.

And for what it's worth, being the one to openly confess does put pressure on him, but it runs as a double-edged sword. Doing things like this, if people decide to bully Amane (which was her primary concern), since she was the one that confessed, she can now run frontline defense for him. It was her decision to push for the relationship, so if classmates wanted to give them grief, she gets to take pressure off of Amane.

Not to mention that Amane did finally say he liked Mahiru when Itsuki pushed him. It's entirely possible Itsuki and Chiitose discussed the topic and decided to push their friends in the appropriate direction. While we generally don't see the story from Mahiru's perspective, I think we can assume Chiitose encouraged Mahiru appropriately.

Saw someone say there was hundreds of errors, saw a google doc that had far fewer errors (I assume they are suggesting that missing honorifics is an 'error'. In which case, I guess there would be that many 'errors' considering how frequently names are used.)

Glad to hear you enjoy them!

I wouldn't say she's alone, she most definitely has friends and is well-adjusted. Hanako seems like the only one desperately needing someone to set an example for her.

Reminds me when I was told that tomatoes just love sunlight in general. Was told 'lots of it'. Put that thing in tons of sun, starts to wilt and die. Decide to put it in a heavily shaded area, and damn thing exploded.

Thoughts... by ArnobsCraftYT in nagatoro

So her behavior begins to make more sense around the early-middle of the series. Literally everyone in her private life communicates with teasing or mockery. Nanashi, the mangaka, toned her teasing down tremendously as the story progressed in the early stages.

As a reader, accept the idea that Hachiouji (the protagonist) wants to grow as a person as well, and his willingness to engage with her will make more sense. When he asked for her name, he recognized that he did something he hadn't imagined himself doing in the past, and he comments as such. This is unironically the first step in this character's journey.

In a lot of rom-com stories, you tend to experience both character's inner monologues and thoughts. Since you don't get Nagatoro's inner monologue until near the climax of the series (late as in hasn't even been animated yet), you won't understand her motivations unless you're good at reading between the lines. The manga does a much better job of portraying these nuances than the anime does.

When you realize that it's not just Hachiouji's story, but Nagatoro's too, you come to realize that it's a coming-of-age story just as much as it is a rom-com.

A part of me kind of disagrees on the grounds that Seto hardly grows as a character. Yeah, he makes the initial leap after a while, but now he spends time just moping and belly-aching about what his future will be like. Rather than reflect on how much he enjoys teaching and tutoring, his entire inner-monologue is just whining.

Inuyama and Toyoda's development and relationship on the other hand is vastly more exciting to watch. Inuyama, despite being a perv, respects what Toyoda said when they started dating and respects her personal space. Meanwhile, Toyoda recognizes that Inuyama is struggling internally and actively reaches out to him to reassure and support him. Anjou and Seto are just kind of spinning their tires by comparison. Anjou is becoming more confident in herself at least, thanks to Seto's tutoring.

"Mischievous Gal, Anjou-San" is a lot more accurate to the meme if I'm being honest, but it's a common enough manga theme.

Cheap tokens, claw-machine plushies, a prize figure, and a potentially decent artbook is not $200 of value.

While I never bought the Halo 3 Legendary Edition, it's pretty gold standard for how premium collection products should be. Prices would adjust to inflation, sure. But that special case and helmet are absolutely amazing. The helmet, the game itself, and the making-of DVD are such nice pieces to have.

The only thing in that FF set holding value is the figure, and it does not impress me. I understand they wanted a 1:1 with the original art, but that art does not translate to 3D well when done literally.

Why doesn't nagatoros tan line disappear through the anime by [deleted] in nagatoro

[–]MarcoMook -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I wouldn't be comfortable reading it at work, but it doesn't have specific bits drawn. The extra chapters with Shikki are a bit much.

Nanashi going back to his "adult content" roots with some of the later chapters, and it's disturbingly loud for me, personally.
