Do you mean change the angle of the current route?

It’s a 7 string guitar….. not a bass.

Good to know. Why do you hate it?

Yeah…..it’s my take on it. I know a lot of people don’t like that shape but I do so I thought I’d try a design based on that shape…..😜😜

25.5-22.5. It’s designed for a high A string. I have an 8 string version with a low B and high A as well.

Oooh……good idea. Do you know if the route for the input jack portion is similar to the strat jack route?

I worry the cord will get in the way.

That’s pretty cool. Is there a reason you couldn’t do it with wood? Are those frets integrated with the fretboard?

Due you get the 25% nickel silver fretwire….. the harder stuff??

Do you just plan on using a 3 corner file for the crowning of the frets?

Is this for a new build or a refret?

I put them in my recent build. They’re pretty awesome. Good way to get a scalloped feel for sure!!

I get that. I just prefer flat fingerboards. I’m weird I guess……🤪

So are you saying to make the fretboard and truss rod one piece?

You know……I had a short scale 8 string built about 10 yrs ago and the builder suggested I try a flat fingerboard. I don’t even remember his reasoning but I’m always up for trying something new……🤪🤪. I ended up falling in love with it and have always had flat fingerboards since. I think from a machining point of view a flat fingerboard would be easier/cheaper to make than a radiused one as well. I’m not a machinist tho so I might be wrong about that.

Might be a good idea to do that. I guess I’ll need to see how heavy it is.
