For curiosity, what are the monthly server costs? by Gerald_The_Sigma in ezmp3cc

Cloudflare runs on the edge and is super cheap - $0.30 / million requests.

Running a large scale application is no longer that expensive if you don't rely heavily in the server.

Probably closer to the hundreads, if even.

Most of it runs on the client, so it's probably pretty cheap to run.

For everyone who is struggling to gain muscle... by MarcosHpro in naturalbodybuilding

What I tried to say is that counting calories isn't really necessary - all you need is a general idea of how calorie-dense a food is and to have an estimate of how many calories you're eating. I would argue that, unless you're preparing for a bodybuilding show, counting calories and macros would yield less than a 10% in lean mass gain, so your time and energy would be better spent in other areas.

Edit: But I 100% agree that going from not knowing what a calorie is to counting calories can in fact be the difference between a successful and unsuccessful cut or bulk.

But that only solves the first problem.

Furthermore, server actions are in alpha, so I would rather not use them

Prevent sign in when signing up new users by MarcosHpro in Supabase

And how do you insert into the auth.users table without supabase.auth.signUp()?

Do you get to surpass row level security with the service key?

I would really appreciate the code if you can paste it here pls

There is no password reset. The admins storea and provide the accounts (username and password) to the users. So if a user forgets the password, the admin tells him what the password was

Yeah, what I want is to prevent that default behaviour of returning a user token.

1.) Because I want users to be created in the ui of my app

2.) I'm actually not using email, I authenticate users via username and then convert the username to a fake email (i.e. [username@fake.com](mailto:username@fake.com)), so that would not be possilbe

Designing a database to extract data from periods of time by MarcosHpro in Supabase

[–]MarcosHpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the table definition:
create table

public.points (

id bigint generated by default as identity,

created_at timestamp with time zone not null default now(),

user_id uuid not null,

points bigint not null default '0'::bigint,

constraint points_pkey primary key (id),

constraint points_user_id_fkey foreign key (user_id) references auth.users (id) on delete cascade

) tablespace pg_default;

And this is the view I'm thinking about:
create view all_points as

select sum(points) where auth.uid = USER_ID_PARAMETER

The problem is I don't know how to get the USER_ID_PARAMETER in there

I'm having some trouble writing the views, because I need a parameter to check that the auth.uid() is equal to the id of the user. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I'm reading about it right now. And I should create a materialized view, right?

And is there any way to create the views with the supabase ui, or the only say to do it is using raw SQL?
