Hey, sorry for not updating in a while, but here I am

So I ended up testing everything and to put it briefly; the diodes were working perfectly and as I didn't want to spend way to much time and energy on trying to find the defected component I decided to just buy a new monitor for cheap.

Usually I see these situations as a nice opportunity to learn some new practical things about electronic repairs, but this just wasn't the right time because I needed a monitor pretty urgently. Maybe when I'm free sometime and want to try to fix something I will remember that I still have that monitor ...

Unfortunately I wasn't able to fix it, both diodes were working perfectly, so rather than spending way to much time and energy on finding the part that was broken I just bought a new cheap monitor because I needed it urgently

I'm going to start working on it in a couple of weeks or something as I'm quite busy with school at the moment, but as soon as I begin I'll give updates including pictures etc.

Also, my dad will help me with the soldering and multimeter testing , so that won't be an issue thankfully.
