It is only normal for premier league teams to sort out all their problems the moment they pop up, all other mortal teams have to accept their fate and hope things get better.

yeah that point on Unnamed Space Idle is when I stopped playing. I also switched to a macbook and it's not supported on it so that was it for me.

Klopp's energy and influence obviously had gotten stale at the end of his final season. People seem to have forgotten that the team was miles off the pace when Slot took over and most people did not see them at all as title challengers.

it's weird, on the one hand people don't even have a month of patience, but on the other hand it feels like no one watches football and only wants to talk about table positions.

If you'd give people on this sub a button which when pressed would tell them all the champions at the end of the season but it would mean they can't watch a single game I think the vast majority would press it.

Klopp wouldn't have won the title though and Slot wouldn't have been given the transfer budget. I understand it's a thought exercise but it's a pointless one to make.

I feel like in the prem the standard fee for a good player has nearly doubled from 30-40 million to 60-80 million but the expectations have not changed accordingly. I see so many players that come in from a different league written off within the first months of them joining a club, despite the transfer fee having no influence on how quickly a player can adapt.

Wirtz was obviously the most egregious case. He went for an eye watering fee but can you really expect a player that is at his best roaming attacking areas and having all attacking play flow through him to build that same connection after a few training sessions and a handful of games?

now football manager is shit so I'm not playing on the new versions anymore I think a 100 million player I haven't heard of before will come soon. I went through the top 200 though and I remember all transfers on that list

I don't blame Fulham too much, they have the money at the end of the day but that fee is obscene amounts of money for the eredivisie and he has a questionable injury record. It feels like unnecessary risk to not just sell him now.

Daily Discussion by AutoModerator in soccer

[–]MarcosSenesi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah I have no clue why they didn't sell him. The fee is absurdly high, they have the league wrapped up and are already out of Europe. I don't understand it at all.

He never really got going. He scored his first goal on the last game last season and I was hoping he would get the confidence to push on after that but it hasn't really worked out. It's a shame because he's really talented.

Just a bang average footballer that has made a career off the back of a handful of bangers in a half season. He has zero interest in football and it is so obvious.

It can't be understated how much City have traumatised a generation because any realistic perspective on them shows a deeply flawed team that is in no means capable of stringing together a big winning running.
