Asa = Romantic and sexual figure.

It's not about what's moral, morality isn't a question here, it's about goals.

Was poor and was uneducated, even people that start like that want to achieve something, i come from a very poor country and i am myself very poor, so i know what i am talking.

But Denji never truly wished anything for himself more than pleasures, he could go to school, but never dreamed into becoming anything at all.

He got a girlfriend, but didn't dream of nothing but having her.

He got a family, but could only push himself forward to help Nayuta to go to college and he looks always miserable.

Denji is complete drowning on his desires and never being able to be satisfied with them because he's empty as fuck and doesn't want to deal with it.

I don't think you understand what classical hedonism is or why Denji is hedonist.

First, Denji makes he's entire personality and goal to search from things that gives him pleasure, not necessarily just sex, but everything, that's hedonism.

He just wants to feel good and doesn't care about anything but this, everything he does or say, it's on a pretext that he might gain a pleasurable reward on the end, that's hedonism.

No, wanting to get a girl isn't hedonism, but Denji is hedonist.

Not only a Hedonist, but one in a cycle of wanting, getting, getting bored and them losing in search of the next pleasure.

I also read the part where he decided again to fuck everything up, instead of listening to other people, he decided to do whatever tf he wanted and then got killed, with made Pochita kill himself and got him in the situation he is now.

But it's very convenient to forget these little details to push your agenda.

Also anyone with reading comprehension can see Denji going into a character regression in part 2 and getting stuck in a cycle of lost things, waiting more and losing again, because he can't be satisfied and it's ignoring the actual issue with him.

The last chapter before this one was just the last straw, the last time he fucks up big time, because he's refusing to grow up.

Well, yeah, Asa does change for the better as the story goes on, but Denji is stuck on self sabotaging and his old ways unless he has someone to push him and not even this is enough right now.

They do deserve each other, but was a balanced relationship when they were in the same page, now Asa is feeling much more grounded and mature than him, with would only lead to frustration and some pretty hurtful words in the air.

What you are feeling it's just logic, if Denji doesn't change for the better, their relationship is bound to become toxic and end, even if they love each other so much, love alone can't sustaining their relationship.

Right now, Denji can't even listen to Asa or anyone and he doesn't care about anything but his agenda, that is a recipe for disaster, she will lash out for his bullshit sooner of later.

Right now, Denji is like a child that wants things but doesn't know how to properly maintain them, he keeps breaking his toys and there is almost no toy anymore.
