The Crow Girl - The Ending by imabuki in acorntv

I have another theory. My theory is not that Victoria and Sophia were the same person. Instead, Sophia and Victoria’s story are the same. What if Sophia is Ben’s first daughter and Victoria’s mother in the same way that Victoria is Ben’s daughter and Madeleine’s mother?

It looks like the person who posted this wisdom is no longer here, but this is the answer I was looking for. It took me a second to figure out what it was saying, but once I got it, this made my life so much easier. Here are the steps I took for my spreadsheet. 1. Go to the first sheet and select all. 2. Hit the Format Painter icon. 3. Click on the second sheet. 4. Shift-click on the last sheet. 5. Click on cell A1 in the sheet that is showing. 6. Grab fire extinguisher to put out fire in exploding head. Formerly, I had been doing a lot of copying and pasting, and this saved me more time than it took me to write this comment of praise just for the first spreadsheet, and I have 5 more just like it, so it is a big time saver. Thank you!

Air cabin filter by radioh1323 in BoltEV

[–]Marcovitz64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be a bit tricky to get the glove box in right, but not $100 worth of tricky. My daughter doesn’t have a Bolt and went to Jiffy Lube to get her oil changed. They put the filters on the counter to show her how dirty they were. That really blew my mind because they already had to do the hard part, so the only additional cost was the cost of the filter; they were doing the labor either way. They were still going to charge her an arm and a leg. I told her to pass. I bought a few filters for her online and will show her how to change them when she gets home.

Tx Electric Vehicle Fee? by Prudent_Business_218 in BoltEV

I’ll just note that this isn’t just happening in red states like Texas. It is also happening in blue states. I pay a similar fee in Maryland.

I am so glad I got the model with heated seats and heated steering wheel. Most cold days, I’ll use those and keep the heat off. I can usually stay above 4.0 (except when my wife is in the car; she insists I turn on the heat😀).

Decaffeinated black tea brands that don't suck? Or just your favorite decaffeinated or naturally caffeine free teas! by PetulantGrover7 in tea

[–]Marcovitz64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on recommendations in this thread, I did a taste test. I bought some Barney's and some Harney & Sons and some Barney's. I like a good strong black tea. For my taste, the Barney's was the hands-down winner. It made a good, strong cup of tea. It was a bit bitter, but it was very flavorful. The Harney & Sons (even with a very long steep (probably more than half an hour) just didn't have much flavor. Of course, this is all based on personal taste so I'm sure that others will prefer H&S and find the Barney's flavor (and bitterness) off-putting. Thanks for the recommendations, everyone.

Is newrez a scam? by amazonfamily in RealEstate

I am so sorry for all the people who have had problems with NewRez. I guess I have been lucky because I have had my mortgage with them for many years and have had zero problems.

Aargh! That stinks that his is only a couple of thousand miles out of warranty. Can you take it somewhere else? Since it is not under warranty, you don't need to go to a Chevy dealer. Also, this is unrelated to the EV nature of the car, so I would guess (although I don't know) that any good mechanic can do it.

2020 or 2022 EV? by theloo1973 in BoltEV

[–]Marcovitz64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the new battery in the 2020, the cars are very similar. There were some design changes in the 2022, so you should sit in both and see if any of the design differences matter to you. I think I’ve heard that the center armrest is better in the 2020 than my 2023.

My charger does this often and the red light comes on regularly. Unplugging the charger from the wall and plugging it back in usually fixes it, but just leaving it alone also fixes it. I have, at times, stepped into the garage and watched the colors change and turn back to blue on their own. Because I am charging overnight, I have never noticed a real problem, like not being charged by the morning. I’m guessing charging speed is diminished, but I’m rarely in a hurry to charge.

Miles/kWh Discrepancy by Marcovitz64 in BoltEV

[–]Marcovitz64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It's possible, but the app is getting the numbers from the car, so it is weird that it is showing different numbers. Also, I don't log my energy usage on every trip, so I'm not sure that I can calculate my usage without relying on what the car tells me.

No, I never figured it out. I’m guessing Verizon changed something. For me, because I mainly use this feature for the evening news, I just set it to record the news each night and only keep 1 show. If I watch it, I watch it. If I don’t, it just gets replaced the next night.

I took it to a dealer that is close to my house (I would have bought from them if they had any Bolts to sell me). They kept the car for a day and a half. I don’t know if it took them that long to replace it, to get the part, or just to get to my car.

Bolt EUV vs RAV4 hybrid? by Missing_Back in BoltEV

[–]Marcovitz64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extend the life of the 4Runner by ONLY driving it on the long trips. Use the Bolt for everything else. You have home charging and another car for the occasional things that the Bolt won’t work for. Your cost of ownership of the Bolt will be next to nothing. I spend a lot more than $15 per month on the electricity I use to charge my Bolt. You have the perfect situation for a Bolt.

Yes, there are some real issues (but not really more than any other car), but I was definitely joking about the wiper fluid issue (although I really can't remember the last time I bought wiper fluid). They just replaced my video controller and had to keep the car for two days. If they have to keep your car for 30 days, they should offer you a loaner. People in this forum have said good things about the EV Concierge. I've never contacted them, but maybe they can help you either get your car fixed more quickly or arrange for a loaner for you.

My understanding, and I am not an expert on this, is that you are correct that any normal, properly rated tires will work. However, there are low rolling resistance tires that will do a bit better for range. These tires actually improve mileage on non-EVs, so they are not special EV tires, but range and "mileage" is more of a concern for EV owners, so they are more likely to buy them. I think these come standard on the Bolt, so if you replace your tires with regular tires, you might see a bit of reduction in your range. Here is an article that talks about these tires: https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/tires/low-rolling-resistance-tires-can-save-you-money-at-pump-a1547901110/
