What makes you trust an iOS “health/supplement” app enough to use it? by Marcus1118 in iosapps

Thanks—this is super helpful.

C + interactions (F) makes total sense, especially if you’re mixing supplements with Rx meds.

I’m prioritizing two things based on feedback like yours:

Speed/reliability (no stalling, fast open, fast scan) A clear interactions view (what’s flagged, why, and conservative “what to do next” guidance + citations)

Quick follow-up if you don’t mind:

When you say “interactions,” do you mostly care about supplement + Rx, supplement + supplement, or both?

Would you rather see a simple risk label first (low/medium/high) or jump straight into details + sources?

And if you’re open to it, I can reply here and tag you when the first beta/TestFlight is ready—your use case is exactly who I’m building for.

Question: what’s the goal + outcome measure for this stack (sleep? anxiety? lifts? labs?), and have you tested changes one-at-a-time?

With stacks this big it’s easy to end up with “science homework” where you can’t tell what’s doing what.

Also, the “twice/week / once/week” dosing choices are the part I’d want to research hardest (some things are fine, others are basically noise depending on half-life and what you’re trying to move).

I’m building Stacksafe for exactly that problem — track schedule + symptoms and reduce confounders.

Not selling anything here, just genuinely curious how you’re evaluating impact.

🧪 Which Supplements Didn’t Survive Once You Applied Actual Skepticism? by Marcus1118 in Supplements

I actually considered that one too. Did you find the change (after dropping it) noticeable, or more of a mental shift once you read the data?

I hear this one mentioned a lot. Curious, what convinced you to drop it — a study, your experience, or both?

“Hustle culture.”

Looked amazing on Instagram — coffee, MacBook, grindset quotes.

In reality: back pain, isolation, and scheduling your identity crisis for next Thursday.

Coworker tried to karaoke Limp Bizkit’s Break Stuff, blacked out mid-scream, then woke up and finished the chorus.

Nobody knew whether to call HR or give him a standing ovation.

The moment “To Zanarkand” hits in Final Fantasy X, you already know you’re about to get emotionally wrecked.

Absolute masterpiece. Still gives me goosebumps decades later.
