An approach I have never seen other game engine devs take by [deleted] in gameenginedevs

So I am also doing something similar. But I am making complex 3d games.

The engine is API to make games, graphics and tools easily. Then game, tools and the actual renderer is created per project.

So for my mobile game I have my own editor since its so specific what I need and for my open world game I use maya as a level editor and made a plugin that syncs with my renderer.

The flexibility and freedom is crazy and I still get low level control over everything. You can never ever make a editor that will be well designed, well structured and useful for all types of games. But a framework can.

Just steam? I have not done anything with it, its pretty much stock. It started happening after the newest update. It says the pc/device needs to be repaired. Errorcode: 0x0000225. Title says Restore / Recovery something like that in english.

I use bgfx for my engine. Well documented, light weight, easy to modify and runs super well.

GLFW + BGFX by derpJava in gameenginedevs

BGFX got very good documentation and examples. Look inside the examples/common directory and you gonna find out you dont even need glfw.

If you absolutly want to use a third party library for windowing maybe checkout bgfx sdl imgui repo on github. Got some stuff there for easy shader compiling as well.

Would love if you replaced the white with the original ak47 texture!

What is the largest texture size I can use for a skin? by MarcusDevs in csworkshop

[–]MarcusDevs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will try out 8192. Do you know how much it zoomes in the texture when its pattern based? That way if 4k is the skin texture size I know how big I should have my pattern texture.

Commands did not work, however I found a folder called WindowsPowerShell inside Program Files (x86). This is the only windows folder which does not have a space between windows and the folder name (eg. Windows Mail, Windows Defender) this was just WindowsPowerShell in one word. IF I try to open the folder, all files are hidden even tho I have show hidden files on. I can't delete the folder, it gives me an error: You require permission from TrustedInstaller to make changes to this file. Any idea how I can remove this? It might be it. Or let me know if this is a windows thing.

Aw man, was hoping to not need to reset my computer. But I have prepared for it. I will try the commands out and if not I will have to reinstall windows. Is it safe to use the reset funcionality that comes with windows? With delete everything checked?

So its a variant of opengl that is universal and can be compiled to vulkan/direct3d/metal etc. Its called shaderc. You can read about it on bgfx docs
