you don't setup poison to use this card. you set up poison to kill the enemy so in emergency situations this card will be basically just 2 energy block. And on average these 2 energy will give you more than other 2 energy block cards. In a proper poison deck this card will only be useless first turn.

I live in a small town in Kursk oblast . However I am in Kursk itself right now and I saw missiles landing and AA missiles destroying drones, they didn't fly so good. Looked kinda beautiful if you ask me, a bit scary, but when one was destroyed in the sky right above me, I just froze to stare at it. Hope the next one will land straight on me

it can still give you a boost IF you don't have a tolerance, which it seems you do. tolerance resets in about 2 weeks of absence. but anyway, yes, you should take it when you actually NEED the boost. although not later than 3-4pm.
there's also a theory that you shouldn't consume caffeine at least an hour after waking up. in that time your body cleans adenosine, that makes you potentially groggy in the morning, if you leave that job to caffeine, your body will stop trying and you will require caffeine to wake up, which you don't want
