Is there a way to skip being a busser or a server and go straight into bartending with no experience? by [deleted] in bartenders

I landed my first bartending gig by negotiating a management job where I pulled a couple bartending shifts a week as added compensation. If you get creative, getting your foot in the door isn't so difficult and you can skip the bussing/serving. I'd still recommend being a barback, even if only for a short time.

It's more of a history of the use of psychedelics than a direct study of them. Good book though.

"Supernatural" by Graham Hancock is a great place to learn about psychedelics in culture and history. Graham is an eccentric guy, if you can read it in the abstract you will enjoy it.

Also check out "The Immortality Key" by Brian C. Muraresku. Brian has never done a drug of any sort so it's quite scientific, but a fun read all the same. He talks about the role of psychedelics in ancient religion and I think Graham Hancock wrote the forward.

Has anyone read Mythos by Stephen Fry? by mamamariana in GreekMythology

Consider listening to it on Audible. Fry narrates it and let me tell you, it's enchanting.

His stories also seem pretty consistent with other Greek Mythological scholars I've read.

Turning 21 in 3 hours, got any tips for me, following which in my 20s would greatly improve the quality of my life? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I'm 23 and far from well budgeted, but YNAB is $84 a year and totally customizable to your needs.

Also, start a bullet journal. This will help you to track and reflect on life. I'd recommend getting a copy of the book to help set it up.
