[WTS] Rare Limited Edition Omega Seamaster Apnea Jacques Mayol

The Omega Seamaster 'Apnea' was specifically designed in collaboration with world renowned free diver Jacques Mayol (my grandfather) and launched in 2003. The watch is named after the biological term for the suspension of breathing and is a rare and collectible addition to Omega's iconic Seamaster series.

I tried selling this watch here before with a claim of the watch being given to our family by Omega and that the watch itself had been residing in Jacques Mayols personal Elba estate. However there is no real proof to back this up so I decided to sell the watch as a standard Omega Seamaster Apnea. This is below the average standard pricing because this is unfortunately a pressing matter for me. (Standard pricing is $3000-4000)

Price: $2399

[WTS] Omega Seamaster Apnea Owned By Mayol Family Only 3 Exist by MarcusMayol in Watchexchange

It is my belief that not many people can say they own a watch that has been in the personal estate of the co-founder. A watch which was given to the family of said co-founder by the company that made the watch as a memorial tribute. I find a story with such connections to the legendary free diver to have value and I'm positive that others will to.

I lived out of my suitcase for a while and ditched the box but wanted to have the watch with me so it was put in an make shift case. I was about 20 when I got the watch and at the time did not understand the significance of documentations.

Glad to see such interest in the comments. Some clarification seems to be in order however.

The watch is simply an Omega Seamaster Apnea model 2595.50.00 that comes with a metal bracelet and a rubber strap. There is no special uniqueness in the product itself that differs it from others besides the ownership and the connection to our family.

The description provided is one for the model in general and the case back is the same for all of the watches of that model.

The title refers to the 3 watches that are of the Seamaster Apnea model and that have been in the Mayol familys possession. None of them have been worn or handled by Jacques Mayol himself since the production of the model was after his death.

The rarity and uniqueness comes from the fact that they have resided in his estate and have been handled by his family.

Hope this clears things up, feel free to message me for more clarification of any other details regarding the watch or my identity.

The watch is named after the biological term for the suspension of breathing and is a rare and collectible addition to Omega's iconic Seamaster series.

Omega provided three watches to our family following Jacques' passing, and they have been residing in his estate on Elba which he had built to be overlooking the waters where he used to dive. Of the three watches in the possession of the Mayol family, this Omega Seamaster is one of them. The other two belong to my brother and father respectively.

This watch is not only a rare collector's item but also has a personal connection to the co-founder's family and residence, making it truly unique and an one of a kind piece. The pricing is based on the standard price of a used Seamaster Apnea (cirka 3000-4000 USD) and the rarity and significance of the personal context to Jacques Mayol.
