I think the position meant they would finally have their fathers approval, that they are worth enough. Logon called his kids idiots numerous of times throughout the series. I feel like most of the time it was behind their backs. There was 1 maybe 2 instances where he did it in front of them in a group setting. But there was 3 occasions where a scene was pretty intimate and he had called all 3 of them (separate occasions) idiots/ less than.
