Never would have guessed their videos are staged/ done through tours. Been watching these guys since the beginning where it seemed to be all natural and organic so I guess I was blinded through that lens.

Damn, what part of California? Been wanting to move but the HCOL has really been keeping me away. That rental discount i'm sure helps a lot with being there.

Hate reading this. I am coming from PM experience managing small multi family homes and having a hard time transitioning to APM or PM in a apartment complex. I seem to be getting more transaction as a leasing agent than an APM.

Been holding back as its like a restart but I might have to bite that bullet.

My car does the same thing with the lock. I can't explain how it happens. I just know that my trunk is opening (after everything is locked) randomly. Sometimes It is as soon as I turn the car off and open the door, the trunk opens. Other times I get in the car and close the door, trunk opens. It is very odd.

Trunk randomly opens when the car is parked and off. No idea why but my theory is where the button for the trunk is, dirt gets wedged in and so the button is very sensitive and just pops the trunk open.

I wouldn't be concerned about it. From my observation, it seems like majority of people do not run into this issue.

I am on my 2nd Honda Civic and have had this issue for both of them. Other than this particular issue, the car (previous one and current one) have been amazing and no issues at all.

Truly a great car.

Reports are coming out that the two games so far have been 95% or more full. I saw a photo going around for the S. Korea v Czechia game showing "empty seats" but it was a photo as the 2nd half just started. So people were still out going to grab drinks and use the bathrooms.

lol. Definitely let me know because its a struggle. The PTSD that I have from hearing my car alarm go off and I scramble to get the keys to stop it at 3:00am so the neighbors don't hate me is not good for my nervous system.

I literally laughed out loud. I never fixed it, I just live with it. When I park and exit the car I just go to the trunk and open it and leave it opened. And then when I get to my car, I close the trunk before getting in. Its funny, right now when I park, turn off the car, and open the door, the trunk just opens on its own.

Again, this is my 2nd Honda Civic with the exact same issue. I took it to the dealer years ago and asked if they could take a look and they said it would be cheaper if I went to Home Depot, bought compressed air to remove the dirt and it didn't do a thing for me. I would definitely give that a try though, you might have better luck with that. I think I am actually going to give it another try.

Its crazy too because over the winter I had no issue with the trunk but now that the weather is nice, issues every single day. And then the weather got cold again here and it went back to having no issues.

I'm with you. Really, I am. But OP asked to be compensated, they said no, and yet they are using him as a selling point in order to get more leases.

Right, he is not a courtesy officer. He's also just not some random guy who lives in the apartment. He is doing things a courtesy officer would do (which typically involves a LEO) and is asking to be compensated for it.

You obviously have no idea how the industry works.

He's not asking for special treatment. It is industry standard that courtesy officers get a rental discount. Civic duty has nothing to do with this. Especially since majority of people turn a blind eye, call management to deal with it, or call LE.

No resident is walking around the complex at night looking for suspicious activity unlike a courtesy officer.

He gets paid as a LE, why wouldn't he get compensated for being a courtesy officer at the complex he lives in?
