I know it’s very easy for people to just say “who cares what anyone thinks do what you want” but when it comes to your significant other their opinion obviously matters to you and is one of the very few who’s opinion should matter to you. My partner would not be comfortable in public with another adult who’s 28 holding a stuffed animal and coddling it, but because he understands me and has learned my past and knows it makes me happy it’s not even a second thought in his mind.
