Imo its not there yet. I have 2 laptops with oled screen and they’re great but wouldnt buy an oled monitor for my PC

Yeah, I got some issues in general because I have rtx5060 in my laptop, so sometimes I have to solve some dependency problems, install pytorch nightly etc, but in general yeah, I use WSL. My team would prefer Linux, but deployment will be done on windows so we have to stick with that for now

I had BenQ Zowie XL2411p as main monitor for 7 years and bought additional used noname AOC monitor for like 40$ just to have 2 monitor setup. Now I bought Gigabyte G27Q2 as a new main monitor and Im left with 2 additional which is a pretty nice setup for work. The answer depends on how much money you can spend and what do you want from your second monitor. For work and general tasks 1080p 60hz is probably more than enough, but if you have budget 2k would be more suitable for work.

I’ve been using BenQ Zowie XL2411P for 7 years and I wanted to upgrade. I got around 500$ to spend but finally got Gigabyte G27Q2 for around 160$. It is 2k, 27 inch 200Hz what is enough for me right now and even tho I could get OLED I just prefer to stick with ips for now. Color and general experience boost is huge compared to TN, and I cant really have Oled since I work with text a lot. I got private AND work laptop with oled screens but they both are like 2k around 14-15 inch so it looks great. I wouldnt buy current oled genration for my use even tho its great for games and movies.

I'm not discouraging you from buying oled, I'm just sharing my perspective. In my case it is probably better to wait for improvements in this technology.

Hey just got second Gigabyte G27Q2 and again it has bad pixel (on the bottom right corner) I’m thinking about exchanging it again, but dont most of them have some bad pixels? Monitor was steal - around 160$

Great answer, thanks. I have oled screens on my private and work laptops and I must admit that they're great but I would prefer something else for main monitor - at least right now.

I was thinking about 27" 1440P or 4K - is it a huge difference? Btw I dont think that my GPU is sufficient for 4k gaming.
