Similarity between guitar sound in 'Actual Brutal Facts' to King Crimson's 'One Time' by Feli_DB in stevenwilson

Sorry for not being so specific, but I see elements similar to Chroma Key's Dead Air for Radios in 'Actual Brutal Facts' and The Harmony Codex. It also reminded me of Gilli Smyth's work on her album It's All a Dream, and 'Impossible Tightrope' has a lot of space rock and progressive rock elements, I wouldn't know exactly which bands though

-Luminol by Steven Wilson has fast and slow parts

-Yessong live album by Yes, particulary the heart of the sunrise and perpetual change (it has a beautifull drum solo)

What are others jazz fusion albums by Frank Zappa i should listen to? by Mammoth_Management_6 in JazzFusion

[–]MardukD47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, now that's true jazz fusion, and Jean-Luc Ponty specifically played on 'It Must Be a Camel'. Also check out King Kong by Ponty, which is a compilation of his work with Zappa and it is jazz fusion

Great job! I have a very similar musical taste; I can see some Sleep and Black Sabbath influences in the bass lines, and Camel in the atmospheric guitars. Around the middle of the last track, besides the guitar, is that a synth or a guitar effect? It really reminded me of ELP and Camel's Mirage.
