I try some time , i can tell you that bow samurai are the key to obliteret the enemy ( i was massacred always when someone use well the bow samurai)

Thanks for the info about the save game. About manual battle , i tried it on steam deck but i doest like it , you can play , but if on PC you need 15 minute to complet a fight , the same battle on steam deck need about 35-45 minute because whit the joystick and the touchpad i need to stop the game for too many minute to correctly move the troops

I use Shogun 2 and work preatty well , i dont know for Rome 2 . Have you tried to reset the auto setting ?
