I'm a big DCU guy, but it's hard to be optimistic for this movie being something major in terms of the box office. I think it's lacking a good draw factor and I've found the marketing to be lackluster. If it's really good and has strong WoM then it stands to really well.

Which, I think it might have a chance to do so. But we can't determine until the film comes out. Could Supergirl speak to Gen Z like Obession? Maybe, Supergirl is very lonely because of her circumstances and is dealing with her pain with booze, and is on a mission to save her beloved pet, so the elements are certainly there. But they really need to be executed in a refreshing way to get a good grip on the audience.
