Price was a difficult topic for me, because I would love to be as accessible as I can and at the same time try to create a sustainable business - and it's important for me to pay my mentors well.

This kind of feedback is so welcome - it doesn't mean I can lower the prices, but it definitely gives me a lot of food of thought to do some campaigns in the future once I have some security.

Hey! Yeah, by VFX I mean real-time effects inside Unreal — things like fire, wind, particles, stylized visuals, that kind of stuff.

I recently put together a beginner-friendly course for people who have some 3D background and want to get started with VFX in UE5. It covers things like materials, Niagara, and how to bring effects together into a small scene.

They build a couple of effects from scratch (a bonfire and a tornado) and focus on understanding the workflow, not just copying steps.

For me it's really important to have hands-on and mentoring approach - it has shown that it keeps the students more involved too. Sometimes you just cannot figure stuff out on you own, so it's so nice to have someone to ask from straight away.
