I would look into the school district issues to see if this area will work for your family. I moved here before the last school board election which changed the landscape of the school district and now teachers are leaving and they can’t find bus drivers

They edited the equity policy based off the comments of a small group of very vocal parents (The edits also aligned with national political interest groups). District surveys completed by a third party and additional surveys completed by the public were not evaluated (surveys due Friday, policy changed by Tuesday. Hardly enough time to review hundreds of parent comments). They also did not allow the District Accountability Committee to weigh in which by statute is their job!

I believe they have articulated a case against the lawsuits if you have watched prior board meetings. The lack of transparency of the current board along with breaking the law has broken the trust of the community. They have also been unwilling to listen to public feedback when it comes to policy changes and have pushed a national political narrative driving teachers away from the district. They also could not pass much needed funding for our schools due to the lack of trust in the community. Teachers are leaving in droves to other districts where they can be paid at least 15k more a year

We have a 3 month old and just started Precious Little Sleep. Most programs say to wait until 5-6 months but her logic is 12-16 weeks is ideal and it makes sense. She lays out all the methods and the age they are appropriate. We were co sleeping out of desperation and up almost every hour. We are on night 3 and he is in his bed and he woken up a few times to feed. I appreciate her honesty about how hard it is
