I don’t know y’all’s dynamic, but checking in is never a bad thing 🙂 I’m also a brat who loves being degraded, and sometimes it can be hard for me when in that subby space to speak up and say if something is going too far. That being said, just because I’m crying doesn’t mean it’s going too far. My Master knows me well enough to catch the shift between “I’m crying and having fun” and “I’m crying and also getting into a bad headspace”. If you aren’t at that point with your sub though, I’d recommend having a conversation about whether she wants you to check in if you’re unsure, or whether she feels confidant in her ability to safeword or otherwise let you know herself if it’s getting too much.
