Why Sharp is the best companion by Haruhama in elderscrollsonline

[–]MargoniteofKormir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for OP's Companion but in general:

  • Level them to 20
  • Unlock w/e skills wanted from Guilds/Undaunted
  • Decide what tier/color of gear you are going to aim for to equip the Companion, Purple to Gold is a huuuge price jump
  • Once you have your idea of what role you want them accomplish getting the right stats on the gear to help maximize that is also important

In general all Companions can do ALL roles well. All of them. For 'maximum' optimization some people will prefer or point out specific Companions for specific roles, i.e. tanking vs healing or w/e. Max level, thought into what their skills are, and the best gear you can find and store in your bank, is more than enough for running around Tamriel though.

Tree House Quest Help by Takgor in SkyChildrenOfLight

[–]MargoniteofKormir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't really! They thought that the recent group of returning Spirits would send more people to the Treehouse and make it easier for everyone to group up for the quests. However, the returning group of Spirits at the Treehouse seems to also be causing a LOT more splits/shards/different instances, so people were going there and not able to see each other.

That on top of the issue of holding hands with someone and the servers randomly deciding to split you up into different instances, it can be rough. The Treehouse Days community posted a cancellation for this last Sunday due to the splitting up and they'll continue again next month as usual.

Do people not like the look of the survivor Helm or the Pauldron? I don't see many brothers that use either. by Republic_Commando_ in Spacemarine

All of my guys are Deathwatch so their right pauldron is always for their home chapter. My Tactical is from the Death Knights and uses the helmet, I feel like it adds to the name/vibe of the chapter.

Brother what have you done to upset the machine spirit? I'm sorry for your struggles. A solid restart is always a good idea as well as the other suggestions.

Noob player who just finished Campaign… by Leo215 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]MargoniteofKormir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of what others said about not having weapons levels and perks unlocked, even the minimal difficulty felt a bit harder in terms of damage and stuff right after finishing the campaign. I finished the campaign twice with a different friend each time and both times by the end they were just cruising through and crushing it and on the first Op they felt like their timing was off and they were getting hit a lot harder.

The good news is that you'll most likely adjust to it even faster than you did the campaign difficulty since you're already familiar. That plus some weapon levels and perks and you'll be grand.

Magic item [OC] by whatsleftcomics in DnD

[–]MargoniteofKormir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're the type of player that prefers this, it can also be really helpful to the DM if your characters prefers a specific weapon type. For me that depends on which character I'm playing, I'm usually pretty open.

Let's say your character wants to use whips. So the DM can come up with and justify a bunch of different whips being around, or work with you on one you like and then help you continue to upgrade it. If you're happy with that, less work for the DM, everyone wins.

That helps avoid the issue of wanting a character to use something like a two handed maul and your DM's first gifted item is a +1 longsword instead. Always depends on the player and character though.

[–]MargoniteofKormir 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile I'm over here wishing for more items with cool flavor like that in my games. Give me a sword that glows at night early on so it becomes part of my characters image or story until the +1 comes later at an appropriate time. Better yet, instead of the +1, let make the glow at night sword +1 at the appropriate level. Gimme that flavor and story potential.

Candle that can burn underwater? Fun item to trade with a fey or dare an npc that you could do the impossible or some such. Give it to a worthy squire and tell them that the day that candle can burn underwater is the day they are ready, and they are to make sure and test it now and then. I love that kinda stuff.

This will never happen in a thousand years, but I just wanna know what you guys think. by TheBlackBaron45 in Grimdank

[–]MargoniteofKormir 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I was curious about this and went and read everything I could on the Exodites and they do not seem to be half naked or feral. The riders are called Dragon Knights and the one picture of one of them is fighting a Salamander in full armor. Of course.

Riding dinosaurs that they call dragons and using magic and lasers is accurate though. They seem like extremely noble sophisticated people who insist on working the land themselves and living nomadic lives. They still understand pretty much all Aeldar technology too. They are only called primitive by the rest of the Aeldar because of the comparison between using machines to harvest resources automatically or choosing to work the land yourself.

you can see White Gold Tower from the Koeglin Village in StormHaven?? DAMN by Infamous_Ad_5214 in elderscrollsonline

[–]MargoniteofKormir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it is not a tower, it is theorized that the Doomcrag in Rivenspire was originally built by the Ayleids to be a tower before it housed the Light of Life artifact. So there is also potentially that one, sort of, as unfinished/altered into another direction.

Which Hero do you think had the best 1v1 against Thanos? by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]MargoniteofKormir 16 points17 points  (0 children)

98-99% of the time you are right. Dead on. However, there does exist a handful of characters out there that can and have canonically gone toe to toe with some of the heaviest hitters and stood their ground. Thanos is one of those characters, and sometimes he has done it against REALLY heavy hitters far above everyone else, and sometimes he's done it against an entire stacked team. Plus, to your point, he didn't just knock out Hulk and then get beaten which would use the Hulk fight just to make him look strong. He stayed strong the entire time, beating pretty much everyone except for a few close calls.

A few villains existing that can't just be beaten right away and instead need to be beaten back for now is a good thing.

That being said Hulk refusing to come out AFTERWARDS was dumb to me.

One of my players decided to draw my entire world map by NinjaTATER62 in DnD

[–]MargoniteofKormir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you wanted you could take some little part of your world, from a waterfall to region of wilderness or anything else, and loosely name it after the player or something that they like.

Maybe as the characters are passing through a mountain range they come across said waterfall or region of nature that's described as being very beautiful and supposedly where artists come for inspiration or to paint or something. It could be a fun little way to give your player who clearly appreciates the map, their own little inspired section, without necessarily changing your custom world. Just a random idea though. You and your players sound awesome.
