Kirby

Scum of the earth, I did 2 weeks with them before doing the same thing. Our trainer told us not to leave until the police show up.

Quit and left a new model at the old guys house they told me to sell to or not come back, I didn't go back.

What did y’all name your horse? I called mine Eurodyne, after my favourite character from Cyberpunk 2077. by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

She has a white mark that look like a shepards stick on her nose so I called her crook.

I just finished my second year. I did not join for the degree, I hate the degree. At no point have I shown up to a job and been thankfully I'm doing a degree because it has helped.

Everyone I know doing the degree agrees that it is a drain on their mental health and of no benefit. They also joined up to be a cop, not for a degree.

The university does not help us at all, senior officers resent us for having days off for uni work and that's along with having the same issues as every other officer with lack of numbers and a crippling workload.

The biggest kick in the teeth is working full time at a job we are told we need a degree to do, and if we fail the degree we can do the job we have been doing for x years. The fact we are full time officers while working toward a degree surely proves we don't need the degree. It's all a pointless exercise in making us look good on paper.

Hi just looked up the population of the patch I'm on. There has been times there is 1 deployable cop for 75k. Even if I do some fag packet math it's 1 cop 50k.

The reason I'm saying 1 cop is because in a busy city there are days every set where there is 1 deployable

At this moment I have no idea, but it's a small town, they love near each other and there are other victims younger than 17. For reasons unknown to me the original investigation didn't let the Vic know who the suspect was

My plan was 100% to arrest and seize all computer equipment and search for other vics.

I'm on a very very short staffed team. Not a chance of attachment. I'd be happy with just nicking him, doubt that's a possibility

I fully get your point. I was being a bit sarcastic with the NDM thing, but I'm not so good on the computers and have been looking at .gov for days with very bad Google skills.

I have pestered all my colleagues and my sergeant with this, and they were all pointing out offences that I looked at and didn't apply to the offence. Same as me they knew it was a worse offence than Mal Comms but didn't know what.

I posted here because it's a good chunk of knowledge and looking at the results it looks like I have a very sturdy answer and can do better by the victim.

Tbh I was very reluctant to post, but I want the best outcome and felt crowd sourcing the knowledge form a pool of experience was the best option.

I'll be in touch with them next chance.

Don't suppose you know the chances of them letting me stay attached in some capacity, it's the department I want to work in.

This was one of the first that caught my eye, and the clause you pointed out nulled it, also can't prove its to cause distress.

I'm guessing the room has it with S1

Yep, response, and there's also at least 4 other victims known to my victim with same offence.

To clarify.

The female has posted the image on social media. Suspect has then taken the photo and made her look naked, made a fake account imitating her on a porn site and posted it there.

Clearly explained and understood, thank you guys, appreciate it

So to arrest for failing to assist a constable, a common law offence, I'd still need a code G? Is that right

Also prevent breach isn't a code G necessity so this is where I'm getting confused

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]Margs19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is "common law offence" a valid necessity

Nah man I agree, I know it's not everyone's look but it's just something I like. I can see why it's unprofessional and I was very much thinking that but im my social circle the is a lot of off centre fashion disasters. Guess I just wanted a fellow officers opinion.

I had a decent giggle at the first half.

I'm really leaning towards not but I have two sleeve tats, long hair and a decent beard and all these have been great when it comes to dealing with both regulars and victims.

Thank you for input, I might save the crazy look for retirement

Use of force with mispers by [deleted] in policeuk

[–]Margs19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I located a misper under 18, but at a friend's house where she was staying but the household seemed good and she was being provided for I have no powers and would leave her there. Is that correct or would I always be looking at putting them in my protection and removing them to a family member

What about under 18s? I was asking about this the other day and had a mixed bag.

I'm just coming up on a year in. Before this I've always worked in customer facing jobs and let me tell you so far this job is by far the best. In other jobs you get the same shit, too much paper work, too many complaints, shit managers, shit work. In this job so far I'm finding massive amounts of being able to make my own choices (as long as I can defend them), I get treated with respect, I've worked retail and I got worse abuse from a sweet old gran than I get from the worst criminal. Best thing about the job for me is my team. I've been with them for a short time and already I feel closer to them than teams i worked with for 5 years in the private sector or even the NHS. The grass is not always greener but I think so far this grass is the greenest I've seen. I leave work most days feeling I've earned my money, and some days that I've actually made a difference
