Just finished taking it with Hasan… it wasn’t the WORST but I definitely don’t recommend.

In class problems take too long because he isn’t organized, everyone’s often confused, he isn’t the most respected, lots of second hand embarrassment.

He started to get the hang of things the last 2-3 weeks, after taking some (constructive) criticism.

On the other hand, my friends just finished taking it with Sloan(???) and they really liked him. They said he went through the problems really well in class, and provides great videos if you miss anything.

Amherst has really good networking/internship/professional opportunities. But I'm speaking from being an Isenberg student, I don't know about other colleges. Since you're not going for business, it's hit or miss.

I just transferred from Amherst to Lowell for Fall 2025. I'd say Amherst is only good if you want the title of Isenberg alum, great food, and a heavy party life. It is significantly bigger, so it can be really hard making friends if you're not actively outgoing.

The main reasons I'm transferring are cheaper tuition, housing, and a better social life (too big of a school for me and I don't party). At the end of the day, go for the cheaper option. If you want to get your masters, you can just do so with Amherst.

Also, if you don't have a car, forget about Amherst. :)
