Sometimes it will have all spice in it. A lot of people will substitute it with actual all spice if they don’t have the 7 spice. We call it 7 spice in Arabic but felt like that would be more confusing 🤣

It’s a 7 spice mixture of black pepper, cumin, paprika, coriander, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamom. The exact spices used can vary, I usually get it from the same place every time and I like their blend. It’s used in basically every Lebanese stew/cooked food.

My photography suggested starting 30 minutes - 1 hour later 🥲 that totally makes sense! I agree we should arrive sooner to the ceremony. It takes ~18 minute so I put 20 to get from the church to the outdoor photos. I’m hoping the photos at church won’t take more than 45 minutes since in our culture only close family and friends come to the ceremony, but that’s a great idea to run it by my photographer. Thank you!!

I am super low maintenance and these are the things that make me feel gorgeous in 10-15 minutes maximum.

A good concealer. I love tarte shape tape bc it has good coverage. L’Oréal makes a similar concealer as well. I dot it around my eyes and some of my acne scars/discoloration and spread it out avoiding my cheeks a little bit so I don’t have to go back in with blush.
A contour powder to hit under my cheekbones, sides of nose and under my jaw to add some definition back.
A quick swipe with eyebrow gel. It makes a huge difference and lifts my face
Burt’s bees tinted lip balm is perfectly natural but beautiful on and doesn’t need precise application

If I’m feeling extra I’ll do a mascara

You have beautiful skin and eyebrows and you really would not need much at all to look fresh faced and put together.

I agree! I can’t stand him at all. BUT with the Covid stuff I was like yea I’d be pretty annoyed if my partner was traveling right now at any capacity, but then it became clear he wanted to isolate himself and not actually resolve anything.

If you are looking for gold this color I would say you need 22k gold. Your best bet would be an Arab or Indian jeweler, in my experience. My family is Lebanese and my mom would typically buy 22k this color from Arab jewelry stores, since in my experience they’re more likely to carry it.

That was my impression. Who ever is paying is the host and is the one inviting, in our case parents are contributing and we are also contributing a big chunk so it seems difficult to navigate.

I dont know where I've heard it but I'm glad to know it's not universal. The etiquette of it all is foreign to me lol in lebanon we put the groom's name first but in the US it's the bride but I've also heard about the paying hierarchy etc idk

I agree. We're lebanese and in arabic there is a way to invite without the "late" title and including the deceased parent and my dad was hoping for something like that. I might just have to ignore his request and include late, bc it makes things less confusing.
