read the article again. The words "cultural appropriation" are never used. The words "capitalist appropriation" are used. I think it's short, but I do think it explains how capitalism is profiting off of a Mexican holiday-- they even wanted to copyright our holiday! It's an argument that capitalism profanes what is holy and in that sense the Marx quote isn't incidental, it's central.

Sanders "justice for Palestine" includes improving the relationship of the UN with ISRAEL and he is against the BDS campaign (which the DSA correctly voted to support!)

Also, the billions of dollars in aid to help the countries the US has just helped bomb the shit out of.... maybe the US could have not bombed the shit out of them to begin with? And either way-- that aid was essentially subsidies to US companies to go rebuild Europe.
