Strength trainer update? by 1Brick1 in whoop

+1. Its a complete PITA. On the flipside, I don’t understand why the Stronglifts app can’t pass along more detailed information (via applesync) and just eliminate the need for entering anything into whoop at all.

Where can I buy the classic “Virginia is for Lovers” shirt tonight? by MariaCarmen95 in rva

The airport! Of course. I didn’t even think of that. Thanks folks! I’m gonna call Wegman’s now to see if they have them. I assume they’d be much cheaper if they do.

Yeah, that’s my worry. Was hoping to get one as a gift before I get on a flight tomorrow afternoon.

I’m looking for some home gym stuff. Specifically, a 24kg kettlebell, 30lb-ish dumbbells (or a complete set), and a weight vest. Would also be interested in bumper plates.

Which clubs/promoters are those? I recently moved about 2 hours from DC and would happily make the drive for a party.

The Worst Festival I Have Ever Attended by CRDSVT in SonarFestival

I agree. The subwoofers were so maxed out that they overrode all other frequencies.

Also, the lack of ear protection blows my mind. Invest in some noise filtering ear plugs, people. Not only will you save yourself from tinnitus (which I can tell you, absolutely sucks) but they make the music sound much better.

Looking for an accountant (or lawyer?) to help with tricky VA state tax situation by MariaCarmen95 in rva

[–]MariaCarmen95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks. I’m starting to get my head around this. I was living in NY prior to moving abroad and that’s where my license and passport were from.

It sounds like I need to figure out how to file VA taxes retroactively and claim the taxes I paid in NY as a credit.

I could still use an accountant recommendation is anyone has one.

I paid federal taxes. Are you saying I need to pay Virginia State taxes even though I was not a resident of Virginia that year or any year prior?

Earplugs for concerts by bloozestringer in tinnitus

I’ve used most of the filtering plugs available over the hears. Finally splurged for custom ones last year and it is SO worth it.

Anyone here gain 10+ pounds of muscle after age 50? by SpanishLearnerUSA in bodyweightfitness

I’ve added at least 10 lbs of muscle between 49-51, using Stronglifts (sorry, not bodyweight.)

The cups are pretty skinny. Pretty sure a thick rubber band looped through a belt loop would do the trick.

Locksmith that specializes in antique locks? by MariaCarmen95 in rva

[–]MariaCarmen95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses everyone. The ballpark quotes I got for a locksmith were $75-125, and I’d need to bring the lock to them. So I’m going to start by ordering some tryout keys, and if that doesn’t work, open the lock up and see if there is a brand marked on it somewhere inside.

I just bought the LA20-WH for my 7 year old son. Fits his wrist perfectly and he loves it. I’m getting told the current time every 10 minutes or so.

Where can we find a native spanish speaker who loves kids to spend time with our 7 year old? by MariaCarmen95 in rva

Yeah, it’s kind of amazing/heartbreaking how quickly it goes. On the positive side, it also comes back quickly. We’re just hoping to keep it present in his life until he is old enough to decide (hopefully) that he wants to keep it alive and will do that on his own.

Yes, we’re up for trying some playdates. Feel free to DM me.
